Safety with Pressure Air Hoses
The pressure air hoses are used in the industry. They carry high pressure air to tools, machines or equipment.
Its use is safe, but the operators of this equipment should be aware of a few safety tips that can avoid unnecessary damage.
Safety Tips :
Use only hoses that are approved for such use. Check the outer cover of the hose to determine what gas is designed and under what pressure.
Periodically check the condition of the hoses, for lumps, nicks, gouges, cracks, cuts, blisters, soft spots and other signs of weakness. Replace if you notice any of these problems.
Check carefully the ends of the hose, especially near the joints. These can slip or be damaged, causing problems.
Keep hoses in a dark, cool, away from exposure to the sun site. The heat and sun hoses deteriorate over time.
Never try to repair a hose using tape or a staple enchants.
Clean hose with a clean cloth dampened with water periodically.
• If you make repairs to a hose, use only replacement parts approved by the manufacturer, and perform repairs only if you are qualified to do so.
Never pass a vehicle over a hose. Use the hose attachments to protect against damage from vehicles.
Keep hoses away from oils and other chemicals. If a hose is contaminated with oil or a chemical, clean it immediately.
Never expose a hose to high pressure it can withstand, according to your design. Check the outer cover, for information about maximum pressure.
Never bend a hose at a sharp angle. Let hose lays flat and take your own radio normal inclination.
• Keep hoses away from direct heat of the sun and heating systems. Over-heated hoses can be damaged soon.
• Check hose and fittings regularly for signs of fatigue, missing seals, damage, misuse or abuse. Replace when necessary.
Keep hoses on a hanger rail or cabinet. Never allow hoses remain neglected on the floor.
Protect the hose with a cover or other material, if there are chances that your outer shell may be damaged.
The pressurized air hoses can provide many months or years of valuable service. However, be aware that they need attention and care. They can also be very dangerous if not given proper maintenance. Use the above tips to minimize risks.
