Microsoft SQL 2012 Server

• Sage 300 ERP 2012 supports SQL Native Client 10 & 11

• Improved Finder when using SQL Case-Sensitive Collation o SQL_Latin1_General_Bin v SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_ASo If you use Microsoft SQL with case-sensitive collation, you can now set

up the Finder to show records in search results that do not exactly match the case of text you enter in the Filter field.

To set up the Finder so that search results include all case variations of text you specify:o In the Sage 300 ERP Runtime folder, edit a4w.ini.o Under [A4WSQLS], add "ForceCaseInsensitiveLike=yes".o This is included in 2012 PU1, 6.0 Product Update 2 and 5.6 PU 4.

Web Deployment on Windows 2008 Server

• Roleso Web Server (IIS)

• Select all options in Application Development

• Anonymous Usero Full Rights to the ERP 300 Programs & Sharedata Folder

• Sign on Manager o Ports

• 9000-9180 – Use “telnet” to test weather ports or open.

• A4wossup2.exe Smdotnet.exe • Ensure that old .NET Libraries are uninstalled prior to upgrading.

Web Portal

• Opening the Portal Page no Sign Ono Error 404 - KB#210-31903

• Tomcat does Not Starto Reboot Server o Version of Java – Update/Roll Back

If possible avoid installing “automatic java downloads” instead visit Java website directly to download Java Updates.

• Company List Does Not Showo Permissions - orgs file located in the <Shared Data>\SITE folder

Web Portal

• 2012 Web Program Files– Located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Sage\Sage 300

ERP

• Upgrade concerns:– Make sure you remove the 6.0 Portal Files (uninstall 6.0 and

rename the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Sage\Sage Accpac folder) prior to installing 2012.

– Delete the Portal Database and have the system recreate the links when portal is setup in 2012.

– We have found that if a combination of 6.0 and 2012 Portal files are on the same machine, presents problems with Portal.
