Dear Parishioners,

My wish for each of you this Christmas, dear

parishioners, is a peaceful and joy-filled heart, deep grati-

tude to a loving God who ennobled all human life by be-

coming one of us, and a deepened love for one another.

St. Aloysius Parishioners are the best!

Please be as generous as your means allow in the

Christmas collection. Every parish depends on this collec-

tion to pay many outstanding bills. Could you give a little

more than you gave last year? Thank you.

From your priests, our wonderful parish staff and

all who serve you at St. Aloysius – A Blessed and Merry

Christmas!

Sincerely in Christ,

Msgr. Desmond

2019 MASS BOOK

The 2019 Mass book will open on

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 24TH The hours to reserve your Masses will be from

9:00 am to Noon and from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

We will take a break for lunch from 12-12:30.

We will be set up in the Rectory Meeting Room.

You will need to enter through the back door,

downstairs, which goes right into the Meeting

Room. There will be plenty of seating and

you will not have to stand outside in the cold.

If you do not want to wait in line, you can reserve

Masses in the rectory office during regular hours

after January 24th. Thank you.

DO YOU HAVE FIVE MINUTES A DAY?

DO YOU WORRY ABOUT

OUR WORLD TODAY?

We would like to invite you to become part of the

LIVING ROSARY. This activity was started at

Saint Aloysius Parish a number of years ago as a

means of joining our prayers together to pray for

peace in our country and for all our special

intentions. It is also in response to people’s needs for

greater spiritual growth. At this time we have

several teams of 5 members each participating in our

living rosary. It is a power house of prayer!

This activity may be taken on by anyone. Families

can participate, the home bound can become part of

the Living Rosary; persons on their way to work can

join also. There are no meetings to attend.

What is necessary to

become part of the Living

Rosary is a commitment

to say one decade of the

Rosary each day. You then

become a member of a team

who together says the entire

rosary each day.

It is said for the intentions of

those members comprising the Living Rosary and for

the specific and special intentions of our parish. It

can be done at home, in the car, on the train, and any

time of your day.

The Rosary has been used for centuries for world

peace, against the heresy of the times, during the

Nazi occupation of Poland and at many other times.

This is a simple devotion, parish oriented, that

demands little of its members and produces great

spiritual results.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the

LIVING ROSARY. Please fill out the form below

and put it in the collection basket, drop it off at the

rectory or the parish center, or call Dee Taylor

at 973-226-0209 x 32. We will then contact you to

coordinate the groups and mysteries of the Rosary.

I am interested in becoming a member of the Living

Rosary:

Think Green Christmas According to Andy Williams, it’s “the

most wonderful time of year.” But un-

less it’s a Green Christmas it will be the

most wasteful, consumer-driven and

stressful “time of year.” With a family

discussion some celebrations can become

more eco-friendly! How about sending e-card, using

recyclable wrapping, shopping locally and using your

St. Aloysius Green Bag!! Many more suggestions when

you google “Green Christmas”.

December 24, 2017

Once again the Faith Community of Saint Aloysius Parish has been very generous with the Giving Tree Gifts! Thank you seems inadequate for all that you have given out of love and sacrifice. The following are a list of places that we have assisted; Saint John’s in Newark, Broadway House in Newark, Saint Peter Orphanage in Denville, Saint Augustine in Newark, Saint Columba Parish in Newark, Interfaith Hospitality Network, Saint Catherine Health Care Facility in Caldwell and at least 17 individual!families.

May all of you enjoy a Blessed Christmas & a Peace filled New Year.
