Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, THE GIFT OF GOD’S WORD On this day of gifts and gift‑giving, it seems appropriate that we take a mo-ment to reflect on the great gift of God’s Word. Because it is creative, God’s Word always points to its author, always calls us to respond. Because it is pow-erful, God’s Word can link the sublime with the ridiculous, the transcendent with the immanent, the divine with the human. Because it is graceful, God’s

Word establishes a relationship of deep intimacy between us and God. Once opened, the gift of God’s Word is a gift that keeps on giving and keeps calling us to give in return. It dares us to be like the gift‑giver and to become gifts for others, not only at Christmas, but at every moment of every day. May you and your family have a blessed and Merry Christmas, from your parish priests, Fr. Mark, Fr. Samuel and Fr. Ed.

United in Prayer Always, /s/ Fr. Mark Reburiano

THE GIVING TREE Christmas is a time of giving, and the members of St. Isabella’s Parish have cer-tainly lived up to that! Our Giving Tree project is complete. This last week, five agencies picked up a total of 300 gifts which were donated by members of our parish to brighten the holidays for some of the less fortunate children in our community. Many thanks to all who helped make this annual project such a success. A special thanks to our Good Sams, who made all the tags for the tree and sorted all the gifts when they were returned. We couldn’t have done it without them and you!
