The Gospel this weekend speaks of Jesus as the vine and the Father as the vine grower

which makes us the branches that are to bear fruit Spring is a time when we see visible

change and growth in nature and it is also a time when we can reflect on the growth of our

children and our parish community as we seek to follow Christ and bear spiritual fruit This

upcoming week Mount de Sales Academy will be celebrating Baccalaureate on Wednesday

May 2nd at 400PM here at St Joseph and Senior Class graduation will be on Thursday

May 3rd at 700PM at the Macon City Auditorium Bishop Hartmayer will be with us on

Friday May 4th at 600PM for the Confirmation of this yearrsquos Confirmandi Sunday May

6th we will be having First Communion at 200PM These are all wonderful times of our

lives and we give God thanks for the blessings that are connected to these special events

Please congratulate and encourage these graduates Confirmandi and first communicants

when you see them And may we all bear good spiritual fruit in Godrsquos Kingdom

SJS 6th Grade Travels to Savannah

On Friday April 6 the SJS 6th grade trav-

eled to Savannah for their class trip The

students teachers and parents began

their trip with Mass at the Cathedral of

St John the Baptist followed by a self-

directed tour The group then went to

Skidaway Island where they visited the

UGA marine center At the marine center

students took a guided nature hike ex-

plored the aquarium and studied water

invertebrates through microscopes

MDS A range of sports camps offer skills development and instruc-

tion by MDS coaches SPLASH camp is an all-day educational

SJS 6th Grade Travels to Savannah

On Friday April 6 the SJS 6th grade trav-

eled to Savannah for their class trip The

students teachers and parents began

their trip with Mass at the Cathedral of

St John the Baptist followed by a self-

directed tour The group then went to

Skidaway Island where they visited the

UGA marine center At the marine center

students took a guided nature hike ex-

plored the aquarium and studied water

invertebrates through microscopes

MDS A range of sports camps offer skills development and instruc-

tion by MDS coaches SPLASH camp is an all-day educational

know-how in essential language arts topics and teach the

Opportunities to host an international exchange student in

Camp Cavalier Summer Camp at

MDS A range of sports camps offer skills development and instruc-

tion by MDS coaches SPLASH camp is an all-day educational

camp with a variety of classes taught by MDS faculty New

camps this summer include Boost Language Arts camp and

Creative Writing camp which are designed to increase

know-how in essential language arts topics and teach the
