We have seen such generous giving from those in a position to share with others. As we enter another holiday season, below are two opportunities for helping those in need enjoy a Thanksgiving meal: SHARE SUNDAY is Nov. 14-15. We will be creating food baskets for parish families in need and for cloistered Poor Clare Sisters in Alexandria. Grocery store gift cards are appreciated for their great flexibility. Also, the following food items are requested: Canned goods, tuna in water, cream of mushroom soup, vegetable broth, spaghetti sauce, cranberry sauce/relish, gravy, stuffing, potatoes, french fried onions, applesauce, raisins, rice cakes, dried apricots, mixes for quick breads, corn bread, muffins, cake and brownies, pie filling, mac & cheese, cocoa, coffee, tea and juice. Please call Ms. Pierce at (703)971-8541 if you are able to donate fresh white fish or fresh produce for the Sisters! Non-perishables may be dropped off early in the bin in church Nov. 1-15. Also, volunteers will accept donations at an outdoor collection bin in the parking lot on Sat. Nov. 14 from 9-Noon (the same time KofC is conducting their document shredding event). KOINONIA is also seeking to help families in the Kingstowne/Franconia area. A DRIVE-THRU DROP-OFF Event for Holiday Food Baskets will occur Sat. Nov. 21, 1:30-4:30 pm in our church parking lot. A list of suggested basket items will be included in next weekend's bulletin. While baskets are appreciated, drive volunteers can also collect individual items to later combine into full baskets. Thank you!

A humble "Thank you" to for the generosity of all Parishioners Who Continue to Meet--and, Yes, Even Exceed--Their Pledges for the Beautiful

Construction of our Narthex.

As we have discussed with your Finance Committee and you, the Parishioners, costs for the Narthex project almost

doubled, mostly due to necessary, but unanticipated, compliance costs the County required in order to get our

permit to build (think: the Stormwater remediation engineered pre-treatment "pond", Upgrades to our entire

Fire Alarm System, Water and Sewage requirements, Easements for the County, as well as material costs

increases during the period between estimates and actual purchase, as well as work changes necessitated by the

outlay of our building).

The Great news is that we have how exceeded our original $1.2 Million Pledge Goal by almost $82,500, and you have

paid just over $1Million toward those pledges already!!

As you Are Able, please Pledge, Give or Continue to Give to this project which has

made your church more welcoming, more reverent and more peaceful!!

Electronic giving can be made via Faith Direct. See: www.faithdirect.net

-Your Pledges have made your Renovation project happen!! -- Help cut any debt NOW!!! (Donate either electronically or "in pew"). Every little bit helps!!

NOTE: If you have already made your donation and/or paid off your pledge, your addi-tional donations can be made at any time and we will update your pledged/donated

HELP "Usher" in the New Narthex. Ladies and Gentlemen--the parish is in particular need of ushers to serve at the Saturday 5:00 pm Vigil Mass and the 9:00 am Sunday Mass. If you normally attend either of these Masses, please consider helping with this important ministry. We really need a commitment for regular, weekly ushers, but if you cannot serve every week, please consider if you could back-up our regular ushers who have to be absent from time to time. Talk to any Usher or the Priests/Deacon, or contact the rectory office at 703-971-4378.
