THE MISSION STATEMENT OF ST. LOUIS PARISH We, the parishioners of St. Louis Catholic Church, serve the communities of Louisville, East Canton, and the surrounding areas. As the People of God rooted
in scripture and tradition, we continue the vision of our French immigrant founders of 1838. Guided by the Holy Spirit we are called to be both sign and instrument of
God’s Word. Nourished by the sacraments, we give witness to the life, death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ. As a Catholic Christian Community, we are committed to a full liturgical life, hospitality, Christian education, evangelization, social outreach, and peace and justice.

First Steps for Change Better known as the baby bottle campaign
Some people have asked about this campaign and if we participate as a parish in it. And I want to assure everyone that the parish has participated in this program for many years and this year was no
exception. Rather than having the expense of the bottles and hassles of distributing them and then
getting them returned, it has been the experience of this parish to make a contribution from the F.I.S.H
fund. This year we were able to make a contribution of $1200.00 for this much needed program. Thank you to all who contribute to the F.I.S.H. fund. Your generosity
helps so many people.

Are Phenomenal
A big thank you to all the bakers, candy
makers and the tireless workers, who
gave their time to support the fourth
annual “HOMEMADE CHRISTMAS
SWEETS” sale. There was a beautiful display of over 150 wonderful, delicious cookies
and candies. The turnout to buy the confections was
overwhelming and due to the tremendous support we were
able to clear $2700. Thanks also to Steve Metzger/Ace
Hardware for the use of the scale used to weigh all the
sales. May God bless all of you and may you have a very
blessed Christmas.

Stewardship Thought
“Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” - 1 THESSALONIANS 5:16 -18
This scripture reading sums up Stewardship. “Rejoice always” means place your trust in God; He will provide all that you need. “Pray constantly” means prayer should be a running conversation with God throughout the whole day, every day. “Give thanks in all circumstances” means even in bad situations, thank God. Suffering a little bit helps build empathy for others in similar situations.
