SACRAMENTS
Baptism Baptism is celebrated after consultation with the parish staff as to date. Registered membership in the parish and attendance at a Baptism Class are required for all parents prior to their first child’s Baptism.
Holy Communion A two-year required sacramental preparation process begins in the first grade. It culminates in the celebration of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in the second grade.
Confirmation A two-year required sacramental preparation process begins in the seventh grade. It culminates in the celebration of Confirmation.
Matrimony A six-month required sacramental preparation process begins when the engaged couple meets with the priest or deacon and culminates in the couple’s exchange of consent on their wedding day.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
A one-year process for preparation and study is required for all those interested in becoming Catholic.

OBSTÁCULOS
El profeta Ezequiel, san Pablo y el Señor Jesús tienen algo en común en las lecturas de la Sagrada Escritura de hoy. Todos encon-traron obstáculos en su ministerio. Ezequiel fue llamado para que profetizara a los israelitas, convertidos en “un pueblo rebel-de” (Ezequiel 2:4). San Pablo relata cómo se le ha metido una “espina clavada en mi carne” (2 Corintios 12:7). El Señor Jesús no puede reali-zar demasiados milagros en su tierra natal. El Evangelio nos dice que “estaba extrañado de la incredulidad de aquella gente” (Marcos 6:6). Nosotros, también, algunas veces nos topamos con obstáculos al transitar el camino de la fe. Muchas veces en nuestro viaje nos senti-mos débiles. Que las palabras del Señor a san Pablo nos animen hoy: “Te basta mi gracia, porque mi poder se manifiesta en la debili-dad” (2 Corintios 12:9). HOW TO REQUEST A MASS INTENTION
Those wishing to honor a loved one during the celebration of Mass—for the living or the deceased, or for prayerful remembrance of anniversaries, birthdays, and other special intentions—may call or visit the office.
Masses are usually scheduled weeks in advance, so if there is a particular date on which you want the Mass Intention, please make the request well ahead of time.
The suggested stipend for each Mass is $5.00.

Time to clean out your closets. Donations for the annual parish rummage sale can be dropped off at the church during office hours. All proceeds benefit our youth group.
Please volunteer so you will be ready to begin our 2018-2019 Reli-gious Education Program. Requirements are to be actively practic-ing Catholics, Safe Haven trained, and a desire to pass on your faith to our youth.
We need three teachers for Pre-school/Kindergarten, four teachers for 1st grade and two teachers for 3rd and 4th grade. We would also appreciate parent aides for 2nd grade Sacramental Preparation (Reconciliation and Holy Communion).

We will be registering students before and after Mass during the month of July. Please sign your child up ASAP so we will have books and supplies ready when they begin classes on August 26th. Orientation Breakfast will be held on August 12 for parents and children to meet catechists and to prepare parents for the coming year. We will have schedules and handbooks.
