STEWARDSHIP
Gratefully, we receive God’s gifts. Responsibly we cultivate and
share them in love and justice with others; and return them with
increase to the Lord--USCCB
THE NATIVITY OF ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST
SERVICE
Part of the Light of the World small group experience is service pro-jects. In the past they have written letters to the Confirmation Candi-dates, made greeting card packages to deliver to the homebound, weeded the gardens and grounds on the church property, served at the Mustard Seed, collected items for shelter programs, and the list continues…….
PRAYER
“…Behold, one is coming after me; I am not worthy to unfasten the sandals of his feet.” (ACTS 13:25) Stewardship is a lifestyle; it’s not a program or a process. It’s how we are called to live our lives twenty-
four hours a day, seven days a week! It challenges us to live “God-
centered” lives, not “self-centered” lives. Reflect on your daily activi-
ties, do you do them for the glory of God or for the glory of your own name?
WEEKEND OF JUNE 17, 2018

NO EUCHARTISTIC ADORATION/CHAPLET OF
DIVINE MERCY DURING JULY AND AUGUST
The weekly devotion of Eucharistic Adoration/
Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be suspended during the sum-
mer months of July and August and will resume in Septem-
ber. The church building can become stiflingly hot in the sum-
mer heat and many families will be away on vacation in the
next few months. In the Fall parishioners will be asked to consider com-
mitting (or recommitting) themselves to this worthy practice. Thank you to
all who participated in this ministry this year.

BOY SCOUT TROOP 25 THANKS YOU
Boy Scout Troop 25 would like to thank everyone
who helped to support their troop this past year. Through the efforts of all
the patrons who purchased tickets for their dinners, breakfasts, donut
sales, Christmas Tree sales/recycling and other events, the troop was
able to participate in many camping trips and gained much experience
and necessary skills. The troop is growing through the positive exposure
and lessons that was made possible by you. Thank you.

FAMILY FAITH FORMATION—FALL 2018
The school year is winding down; but we have to begin preparing for Family Faith Formation for the fall. We are looking for teachers and non-teachers to share their faith with our children and families. For teachers who taught last year, we welcome you to re-turn. We also invite others to help out—maybe even in team teach-ing with a spouse.
We started a new program last year for Grades K-6. This new program provides the parents with the opportunity to become the primary teachers of their children. Parents work with their chil-dren at home, then we meet once a month, either on Sundays, 12:15-3:15pm or Mondays, 5:30-7:00pm. Parents stay with an adult presenter and the children go to classrooms for 90 minutes. During that time, the parents are given the materials to work with their chil-dren at home.
For grades 7 & 8, we are doing "Encounter", a program that is fun and interactive on the Great Adventure Bible. There are dis-cussion groups, and it works really well if 2 adults lead each group. There will be training and meetings once a month to distribute your materials for the lessons.
Please pray and discern if God is calling you to teach come September. I will also be praying for all of you. Thank you.
The Special Kick-Off dates for the Family Faith For-mation 2018/2019 will be determined soon. Watch future bulle-tins for more information. The Planned Family Faith Formation Grades K-8 Gath-ering Dates and Times for the 2018/2019 season are below:

WE DID IT!!! THANK YOU!
GOAL TO REACH—-$68,800.00
AMOUNT RAISED TO DATE—-$70,574.12
Thank you for all that you do to help our parish and our diocese. This year your generosity exceeded last year’s donations by over $1,700 and the number of contributors likewise greatly increased.
Your gift to the Partners in Charity Appeal helps reflect Christ’s love to many people whose lives are touched by the ministries and services of this dio-cese. Because of your generosity we are able to make an impact in the lives of thousands of our diocesan brothers and sisters. The enthusiastic re-sponse of so many is a wonderful testament of how we reach out to others. It gives me confidence that we will continue to journey in faith and grow in the understanding of what it means to be a disciple of Christ. Thank you again for all of your continued support of these ministries.

WE LOVE HAVING YOU AS
PART OF OUR FLOCK!
St. Mary Parish has subscribed to a new communications
program called Flocknotes. Some of you may have already received
emails welcoming you to St. Mary Flocknotes!
A simple explanation is that this program will allow group
leaders such as LOTW Coordinator, Bible Study Head, Morning Star
Ministry Coordinator, etc., to more easily and quickly contact every-
one in their respective groups regarding any updates, changes, can-
cellation of events, etc., that may come along. Messages can be sent
out and responses received by either email or texts using your cell
phone numbers. More information will be sent out soon.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact
someone on the Vision Team: Diane Moriarty, Deacon John Dugan,
Jim & Sue Fish, Jen & Bob Nealon, Dwain Robbins or Fr. Nick.

THE GARDENS OF ST. MARY CHURCH
After an unpredictable spring and a long winter, our flower gardens are looking lovely once again thanks to the dedicated efforts of Michele Brown (Assumption of Mary Statue); Carol & Paul Sansoucy (Parish Center Entrance); and Barbara Smith (St. Francis’ Garden).
Thank you everyone for your concerted efforts to keep every-
thing looking so pretty. Feel free to stop by the Gardens to meditate
and share in God’s great beauty.
