Saint Mary Parish is a community of Catholics, striving to be an open and caring people, living our faith, spreading
God's word, and serving as Jesus' disciples to our
families, our parish and our surrounding communities.
Dear Parish Family, A WARM WELCOME TO ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS AND ALL WHO ARE VISITING WITH US TODAY! Please know we are very happy you have decided to worship with us today. You are most welcomed and loved at this special place! If you need any type of service or ministry please do not hesitate to call me or any member of our staff. We are most happy to serve you!
TREE OF REMEMBRANCE FOR SCHOOL: We would like to add a TREE OF REMEMBRANCE to the front lobby of Saint Mary Catholic School. This tree will recognize both living and deceased benefactors of Saint Mary Catholic
School and to encourage others to be part of our School's Legacy Program. If you or a member of your family OR members of your Class would like to donate the TREE OF REMEMBRANCE to Saint Mary Catholic School (similar to the one in Church) please call Mary Beth O'Connor at the Parish Office Center.
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK: Today we begin Catholic Schools Week here at Saint Mary Parish! Catholic Schools Week is always celebrated on the last week of January throughout the United States (January 29 - February 4). If you are considering being a TUITION ANGEL (donating
money to our Tuition Assistance Account) OR donating any item on our WISH LIST please do not hesitate to call Mary Beth O'Connor, Parish Business Manager, for more information. Thank you in advance. Celebrating our 55th Anniversary and preparing for our 56th year this September.
RACE FOR EDUCATION: We are working very hard preparing for this year's RACE FOR EDUCATION. Maria Tosco is the Chairwoman for the 2017 Race and she will soon be sending out sponsorship forms. I am running -
walking more likely - this year and I could use some sponsors! We are asking the entire parish to participate through prayer and sponsorship. Keep your eye out for a future FLOCK NOTE (Church E-mail) concerning this important RACE!
BLESSING OF THROATS: The traditional blessing of throats will occur after all Masses next weekend in honor of the Feast of Saint Blaise (February 3). We will certainly bless throats after
this coming Friday's Mass, which is the actual Feast Day. RELIGION BEE: Have you ever gone to a RELIGION BEE? On Friday, February 3 at 11AM Saint Mary Catholic School will be hosting a Religion Bee during their final day of Catholic Schools Week in our Parish Hall. You are cordially invited to
attend. It should be exciting, and at the same time, fun. Free Admission! TREE OF REMEMBRANCE IN CHURCH: We have added all 8 mini trees below the TREE OF REMEMBRANCE in the vestibule of our Church. These 8 mini trees are dedicated to the 8 Pastors who have served in our Parish. Founding
Pastor: Father Beusser; 2nd Pastor: Father McCall; 3rd Pastor: Father Hedge; 4th Pastor: Father Birosh; 5th Pastor: Father Kelly (sold); 6th Pastor: Father Brennan; 7th Pastor: Father McElroy (sold); 8th Pastor: Father Bellopede (sold). It displays the Name of the Pastor, Number in line of Pastors served and the Years of Service. Please take a look at these beautiful mini trees. Three out of the eight have been memorialized. If you would like to remember a Pastor and memorialize a mini tree for a Pastor you were fond of, please call Mary Beth O'Connor at the Parish Office Center for more details.

LENTEN WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY The Gift of Repentance:
God’s Call for a Change of Heart by Kevin Perrotta
Yes, Repentance is a gift! In coming to the realization of
ourselves as sinners we open our hearts to the gospel. And
while consciousness of our sins is uncomfortable, it is
also a cause for hope. In those feelings of guilt, God is
calling us to return to him. Please consider joining us for
this 7-week study. Two sessions will be offered on
Thursdays: 10-11:30 A.M. or 7-8:30 P.M. Sessions begin
February 23, 2017. Please contact Linda Nichols at
215-256-4941 or [email protected] by February 16th
to register. There will be a nominal fee for the study
guide.
