Fun Facts…• Ireland is the third largest Island in Europe• In Ireland they speak English and the native language called

Gaelic.• Popular sports include Football, rugby and horse racing.

• Ireland has an excellent rugby team and they won the 6 nations tournament in 2015

Patrick was born in 387 AD in Scotland.

When he was 16 years old he was kidnapped by Pirates (Vikings).

They took him to Ireland and he was sold as a slave.

In Ireland Patrick took care of Sheep, he was a sheepherder.

He learned the

Language.

One night during a dream a voice spoke to him and said ¨Your ship is

waiting.¨

The next day Patricks took a ship to Britain

He then traveled to France. He studied

in France for 16 years.

He had another dream, “Come and walk among us again.”

He returned to Ireland and converted many Irish from Protestant to Christian

He used the Shamrock as an

example of the Trinity.
