Church Council Chair’s Report

Praise God for our church family and this wonderful congregation. What a bless-ing! God gives us all we need and in abundance. “From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.” John 1:16. “Give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good.” Psalm 106:1. The 8:23 prayer video that Crystal Li helped me with was such a blessing! I continue to pray this prayer every day and God continues to answer my prayers. Other members have also shared that they continue this prayer daily and have seen blessings. Have faith and believe in the power of prayer! “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” James 5:16. Our Spiritual Renewal Team led a mini-series, “Where are you on your faith jour-ney?” with heart warming testimonies, a skit and as our final series, a slide show reflecting how we serve God and all the benefits/blessings of discipleship. Clearly reflecting that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life! Arlene Hagiya and I led the Spiritual Gifts small group and we were so blessed to have such a wonderful group of people! We explored and discovered our spiritual gifts, talents, resources, individual styles, dreams/passions, and experiences to get us closer to what God created us to be, to serve our church more joyfully and to glorify God! “God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” 1 Peter 4:10. Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! May God Bless You! Peace & Love, Kimi Ronay Church Council Chair

Advent Series Faithful: Christmas Through the Eyes of Joseph From his beginnings as a humble carpen-ter to his all-important role as the earthly father of Je-sus Christ, Joseph's place in the nativity story is sometimes over-looked but contains valuable lessons for all of us. Join Adam Hamilton as he examines Christmas through the eyes of Joseph. Ab-sent from much of the biblical narrative, Jo-seph never spoke a word, but his coura-geous actions were crucial to the birth of Christ and God's salvation plan for humanity. Exchange your doubt for courage this Advent and Christmas season. The story of Joseph provides us a great example of humbly obey-ing God even when we don’t understand, and faithfully moving forward in the strength that God provides.
