Mission Statement The Salem Baptist Church is transforming lives by Exalting the

Each saint of God should be a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ. In 2020 we expect each member to aspire to a higher level of worship, relationship, discipleship and stewardship.
Ephes. 4:11-16 (NKJV) And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, [12] for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, [13] till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; [14] that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, [15] but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ-- [16] from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
In this new year, each of us should renew our commitment to the Lord Jesus, to one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, and to seeing lost souls served and saved.

A television that shows the church service has been added to the room to make it more convenient for you as a parent. The room is also equipped with chairs and a changing table. Ministry Spotlight on the Salem History Walk: Each month a current or past Ministry will be highlighted to tell their unique story. For March Golden Adventurers will be the spotlight. Minis-tries that are interested in being featured in upcoming months should see a Futures Committee Representative.
Effective Immediately: The church office will be closed EVERY Monday and Friday at 5:00 P.M. The church will not have security or custodial services on these evenings. Therefore, no meetings or ministry activities will be scheduled during this time. For more clarification, please contact Dr. Donnell J. Moore.
HELP NEEDED: Salem labourers of God (1 Cor 3:9), please prayerfully consider helping with the construction of our prefab stage for the annual Easter Worship Celebration. We need all able bodies who can lift approx. 40 lbs and follow basic carpentry instructions to meet at the Wel-come Center in the foyer TODAY @ 1:45 P.M. If enough labourers of God volunteer, we will complete construction by 4:30 P.M. Praise God and thanks in advance for your labor of love as we partner with our Music and Fine Arts Ministry to be a blessing to the Omaha and surrounding communities. A Day in the Life of a College Student: Parents/Guardians, mark your calendars for Friday, April 3, 2020. High school students are invited to visit the campus of Peru State College to expe-rience the life of a college student. They will select four college classes they wish to attend, eat lunch in the school cafeteria, tour the school, and talk to current students about clubs and activi-ties they might consider joining. Commitment Academy: The Commitment Academy's 2020 Promotion & Ring Ceremony, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 22, 2020, 4:30 P.M. at Zion Baptist Church, 2215 Grant Street, Omaha, NE 68110. Everyone is invited to attend the ceremony, to encourage and support these 17 Cadets (Teenagers from Salem and Zion) as they make their commitment to Christian Leadership and to Sexual Abstinence (until marriage) on this special day. Small Group Facilitators Needed During this the “Year of Reaching,” we will be conducting WWW Small Group Bible studies at the church on Wednesday nights. The small group studies will give an opportunity for persons to facilitate and reach members and their friends through a thought-provoking Bible Study series. All interested persons must be trained prior to facilitating a group. If you are interested, please email Dr. Moore at [email protected].
