Employee Update - Fleet

As you may know, we have been fortunate to experience a lot of success growing the fleet side of our business

at Meineke. In fact, we are on track to more than triple our numbers by the end of the year, and we still have

a lot of room to grow! To better support our current clients and continue at this growth rate, we are happy to

announce the hiring of David Green to the team! David resides in the Kansas City area and brings 20 years of

sales experience with him – 12 of those years working with large accounts and two in the automotive industry.

His strong work ethic and experience will be a true asset to this department. As a National Account Manager,

David will be tasked to grow some of our existing accounts as well as finding new opportunities.

Project Constitution

Recently, I shared a detailed overview of Project Constitution with those

who joined the Leadership Webinar on Tuesday, July 28. This is a truly

exciting, once in a lifetime opportunity. Project Constitution was developed

in partnership with the MDA and is fully endorsed by that organization and

several talented franchisees.

Since my last email, I’ve received a lot of feedback regarding the program.

I value your thoughts and feedback and welcome all constructive

commentary that will ultimately help propel the system toward our

2020 Vision.

A few of you had concerns related to mandating system-wide vendor

partners. While I know many of you have been working with vendors

locally for quite some time, we’ve negotiated strong deals with nationwide

partners with the goal of improving profitability. The fact is, we’re one of the

nation’s leading automotive companies, it’s time we work together and force

vendors to recognize and treat us as one system of 930 centers versus

individuals. When leveraged properly, we have immense buying power

that we’ve only begun to tap into. Purchasing as a unit will ultimately drive

down costs, enhance the cross-center customer experience and increase

each center’s profitability. Mark Zuckerman said it best in the recent MDA

newsletter: “If we want these deals and even better deals in the future, we

have to think like a group, act like a group and buy like a group.”

Others were concerned about how we’d accomplish a 2% reduction in MAF

fees. The reduction will not be from local level funds. We know the localized

marketing approach has been part of the reason we’ve seen 12 months

of positive sales. The local level MAF will remain 4.5%. As I mentioned, we

are confident that quality marketing and advertising will continue delivering

customers to your doors. To ensure we step into this new world carefully,

we are going from 8% to 6% over the span of two years.

I want to remind everyone that Project Constitution was developed with you

and your center’s profitability in mind. The program has the potential to add

on average about $12,000 or more to your bottom line.

Project Constitution Highlights:

• Potential to improve participating franchisees’ profitability by an average of

$11,700 per center by lowering your MAF fees from 8% to 6%.1

• Potential to further improve participating franchisees’ profitability by an average

of $14,625 per center by lowering your MAF fees from 8% to 5.5%.2

• Utilize an average of $17,550 from the reduction in MAF fees to improve the

image of participating franchisees’ center.3

Remember these key facts:

• We need 51% of centers to participate for the program to become active for

participating franchisees.

• If at least 51% of centers sign up, the program will begin on 1/1/2016.

• For the first two years, we will still collect 8% in MAF fees but we will redirect

1% in 2016 and 2% in 2017 - to a capital fund to be used for center image

enhancements directed by the participating franchisee with Meineke approval.

• This program will eliminate the LABDT.

It is my hope that you share my same vision for overall success of the system

and are interested in participating in this exciting program and realizing increased
