Why this presentation?During the preparation of the Salesforce Certified Administrator exam, it is quite common to review questions and answers found in sites such as Cram or Quizlet It is very possible that you are going to find old questions on those sites. They refer to topics that currently are not part of the contents of recent exams.In this presentation you are going to find important details related with Salesforce that probably are not going to be found in the questions of the exam but that – anyway – it is worth to know them.It is recommended to watch the presentation in full screen mode, as it mainly contains pictures.

• Deleting and restoring custom objects

• A Custom Object used in a reporting snapshot cannot be deleted.

• When you delete a custom object, Salesforce does not add it to the Recycle Bin. Instead, deleted objects appear in the Deleted Objects list for 15 days.

• During this time, the object and its data are soft deleted, meaning you can restore or permanently erase (hard delete) the object and its data.

• After 15 days, the object and its data are automatically hard deleted.

• A reporting snapshot lets you report on historical data.

• Authorized users can save tabular or summary report results to fields on a custom object, then map those fields to corresponding fields on a target object.

• They can then schedule when to run the report to load the custom object's fields with the report's data. 

• Reporting snapshots enable you to work with report data similarly to how you work with other records in Salesforce.
