Alaska Bans Fish Farms

O Escapees compete for food with native salmon

O Atlantic salmon in-river competition for spawning ground and risks of them developing self-sustaining populations.

O Farming lowers salmon prices, hurting Alaska fishermen.

O Lower salmon prices, means higher wild catches to make the same income, which threatens wild salmon runs.
