I am an esthetician as well as a makeup artist NYC

so my focus is as much about what's underneath the

makeup as what's on top of it. This knowledge on

how skin works really sets me above other artists.

I am a makeup artist currently attending

Makeup Forever Academy. I have a passion

for creating images that leave the viewer

thinking about them, or remembering them in

the future. If a girl clips a photograph of my

work out of a magazine and puts it on her

wall, I'll have accomplished my goal. I want

to live to inspire others to do their best, as I

have been inspired by my role models.

How to Get Long Hair ASAP

“A healthy diet that incorporates a mix of protein and

nutrients can improve the condition of your hair,” says

Celebrity Hairstylist and NYC Salon Owner Julien

Farel. He explains that balanced eating keeps follicles

strong and hair from breaking easily.incorporate

omega-3 oils. “I recommend salmon or supplements.

Nuts are a good source, too, especially almonds.”

)But Don’t Over Do It

Dr. Gerstner says it’s important to keep weight stable

and not yo-yo diet, as hair can be affected by extreme

regimen changes, in addition to stress and hormone

levels.

Try Vitamins and Conditioning Ingredients

“Phytantriol, arginine and fish oil, and biotin aid in

the production of enzymes and hormones which can

help stimulate hair growth,” says Farel, who

suggests his “hero” product: Julien Farel Haircare

Restore. The cleanse-treat-condition formula is

designed to push regenerating anti-aging

ingredients, like hyaluronic acid, deeper into the

follicle, scalp and hair, which helps prolong the

hair’s growth phase.

Dr. Gerstner recommends the use of supplements

like Viviscal, which include biotin, vitamin C, and a

special complex of shark powder known as

AminoMar, to help aid hair growth and scalp

stimulation.

I have always had a keen interest in fashion and

beauty. In fact, prior to delving into this field, I opened

and managed a hair dressing and barber salon for a

few years. My fascination with glamor, ignited my

quest for knowledge, which led to endless hours of

research in this field.

After years of experimenting in beauty, I decided to

pursue my passion, formalizing and cementing my

knowledge by attending a professional makeup artistry

school. I have since then successfully completed other

training courses for which I have also acquired

certification.

I mastered the art of applying both traditional and

airbrush makeup on varying ethnicities, thus

producing the best possible look suited to each

individual. I have a thorough understanding of how

makeup should be applied in different environments

and lighting. Although beauty and glamor is my

personal preference for makeup, I also enjoy other

aspects , such as special effects. Being a

transitioning educator, I have also channeled my

energies into training and teaching others Makeup

Artistry.
