1 DHS Salsa Blast Official Event Program May 4, 2013 What’s Hot! e Salsa Blast festival is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 4th. Admission and parking are free. No coolers, outside food/beverages or pets on site. Come and taste dozens of different salsas – from mild to wild – dished up by private label salsa companies and restaurants from throughout the Coachella Valley, all entering into our Salsa Taste Challenge contest. Participating food vendors will be selling delicious BBQ, Latin cuisine, frosty Italian ices, amazing burgers and more. Come hungry, leave satisfied. Music and Dance Sizzling entertainment takes center stage with entertainers brought to us by Epoch Momentous and the Boys & Girls Club of the Coachella Valley. Live DJ remotes from local radio stations including MIX 100.5, KDES 98.5 and U92.7. DJ Latin K weenz will be turning up the heat in the Caliente Club, admission $15 per person and include one complimentary drink. Tempting adult beverages from Babe’s Bar-B-Que & Brewhouse, Crater Lake Vodka and Budweiser products are available in the Beer Garden and Caliente Club. Must be 21 or older to enter. A valid ID required. Hot Cars & Cool Rides Come and enjoy the unique classic cars and bikes. Admission is free. Car Show judging will be held at 2 p.m. with an awards presentation Main Stage at 3 p.m. Prizes Attendees can purchase raffle tickets and Salsa Tasting Ballots for only $1 each and be entered into drawings for great prizes. Proceeds benefitting the Desert Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce events and programs. Kids Blast Family Fun Zone Enjoy a fun day with Camp of Champions in our family fun zone. Play games and earn prizes!
