ALPFA Launches its 41 st Chapter in Salt Lake City December 2013, Salt Lake City, Utah – On Tuesday, December 3 rd , ALPFA lunched its 41 st professional chapter at a reception at the Goldman Sachs headquarters in downtown Salt Lake City. The chapter will be recognized as ALPFA Salt Lake City and has already established its board of directors with Goldman Sachs as a corporate and founding sponsor. The event was broadcast live via a webcast to all members of ALPFA, and a rebroadcast can be seen at SLC Launch. The event, which attracted over 100 attendees, was an opportunity to introduce ALPFA to the community and discuss how it will further the organization’s mission of creating opportunities, adding value and building relationships while expanding Latino Leadership. The chapter aims to impact both professionals and students and there are already two student chapters in the area at Brigham Young University and the University of Utah. Speaking at the event was Alejandro Reyna, president of the chapter, David Lang, Head of Goldman Sachs Salt Lake City Office and Joe Mella, Goldman Sachs Controllers Chief of Staff and member of the ALPFA Corporate Advisory Board. “There is a lot of professional Latino talent in our community looking for ways to get involved and to advance in their careersyou see this in every corner of Salt Lake City. ALPFA SLC offers this and more. We offer strategy, execution and service to our members and sponsors, with a vision of becoming the largest Latino professional business network focused on leadership and career development in the State of Utah.
