Instructions1. Log on to www.SAM2010.course.com

2. Click on SAM Assignments

3. Click on the WORD 2010 CAPSTONE PROJECT assignment hyperlink

4. In the Starting Documents Area, click on the hyperlink with the file name (your name is part of this)

5. Click on the File Tab, then choose Save As. Browse to your Word Assignments folder.

6. Save the file as CS_Word2010_1a_FirstLastName_2

7. Click in the blank line above the paragraph that begins “How do people pay back the loans?” and insert the following question:

What role does SWM play?

8. Press the Enter key and then insert the following answer paragraph (not bolded):

SWM helps entrepreneurs in developing countries form microloan groups. Then it links them to sources of funding, who are usually donors from more prosperous countries.

9. Select the first question on the page (“What is a microloan?”) and then bold the text.

10. Bold the other six questions in the document.

11. Change the paragraph line spacing of the first paragraph (which begins “Small World Microloans (SWM) is taking on global poverty one small step at a time…”) to single spacing. (Hint: To change spacing, click on the Spacing command in the Paragraph group of the Home Tab)

12. Apply the Heading 1 style to the title of the document (“Small World Microloans”).

13. Convert the hyperlink www.swm.course.com in the address line to regular text. (Hint: right mouse click and remove the hyperlink)

14. Italicize the address line (“SWM • 2130 18th Street N.W. • Washington, DC 20005 • www.swm.course.com”)

15. Apply a bottom border to the address line paragraph.

16. In the blank paragraph above the document title, insert a Clip Art of your choice, such as an image of money or a globe.

17. Resize this graphic so it is 2 inches high.

18. Insert a header using the Blank style

19. Insert Frequently Asked Questions as the header text.

20. On the right side of the header, insert a page number using the Accent Bar 2 style. (Hint: Press the Tab key twice after entering the header text, and then insert a page number using Current Position.)

21. Move the “What role does SWM play?” question and its answer paragraph “SWM helps entrepreneurs in developing countries…” so they become the second question and answer in the document.

22. Below the “What types of businesses are funded?” question, change the “Market stands selling home-grown food. Clothing shops or booths. …” answer paragraph to a bulleted list of seven items. (Hint: Each item in the bulleted list ends with a period.)

23. In the blank line before the quotation paragraph at the end of the document (which begins “If you give a person a fish…”), insert a table with two columns and five rows.

24. Enter the following text in the table:

25. Format the table with the Medium Shading 1 – Accent 3 table style (fourth column, fourth row).

26. Center the quotation in the last line of the document (which begins “If you give a person a fish…”). Press the Enter key after the first sentence so this quotation appears on two lines. Change the font of the entire quotation to 12-point, italic, Bookman Old Style.

27. Find all instances of the words “partner” and replace them with “donor”. Find all instances of the word “partners” and change them to “donors”.

28. Check the spelling and grammar in the document, making corrections as appropriate. Your final FAQ document should look similar to Figures 1-1 and 1-2. (Note: The Clip Art in your FAQ document may look different than the one shown in Figure 1-1.)

Save your changes, close the document and exit Word. Follow the directions on the SAM Web site to submit your completed project.

16. Format the “Cycle of Success” text below the diagram so that it is 20-point italic. Change the text color to Orange, Accent 2.

17. Insert a new slide at the end of the presentation that uses the Title and Content layout. (Hint: Click on the Layout Option on the Home Tab.)
