SAMAR-LEY TE VISIT February 1-3, 2010 Samar and Leyte provinces also known as the Waray provinces is considered as the least evangelized region in the Philippines. It is also listed as one of the poorest provinces. It is deemed as the gate for the storms and typhoons coming in the country. Five of our current church planters are in this region. They are: Pastor Joe Monares: San Vicente island, N. Samar Pastor Joey Chavez: Catarman. Samar Pastor Felix Quiamco: Calbayog, Samar Pastor Eliezer Alinio: Babatngon, Leyte Pastor Freddie Guinang: Matalon, Leyte It was a very long road trip going from one church planter to another. But it was a pleasant journey and an encouraging one. Pastor Eliezer Alinio Pastor Eliezer Alinio is a genuine churchplanter. During his term with White Fie lds which ended last December 2009, he was able to start three churches in the four y ear period. He started in Catbalogan City, which envisioned the Catubig, church plant. He is now in Babatngon , Leyte while his former church plant in Catubig is planting two more churches in the nearby village.
