TT, a lovely sleek German coupe, brings back swag of fond memories. It is also somehow a retro car, but has its own unique style. Let’s have a closer look. Starting from the back, you can find some resemblance of a 350Z or an E Type with its huge hatch back door. From another angle, it looks like a 911. It is wide enough to be seen as a large supercar. Look from its side, it looks like a gently top-down compressed Beetle but reinforcing its character profile with a strong roof frame. Back to the front, unmistakably, a contemporary, aggressively looking mask complimented with new headlights and Audi’s trend-making signature LED running lights. The end result is a compact pocket rocketeer. This mixed image will just cost you around $70k.
On paper, the TT comes with a 147kW engine that explodes with a surge of speed from a smart 0-100km/h in just 6.5 seconds. A massive 280Nm of torque are on tap from a board range of 1800 to 5000 revs. Having such a sporty image, it should have been seen as a big fuel spender; on the
contrary, it is surprisingly economical to run. Audi claims that the combined fuel economy of 7.8/100km mark can be achieved for the S-Tronic double-clutch gearbox.
Dressed up with a set of huge 17-inch alloy wheels and extra body articulation particularly with a special retractable and adjustable rear spoiler, this TT means business.
Yet, your feelings come first. The TT sits low with a powerful stance, being cocooned in a tight but comfortable jetfighter type cockpit. Equipped with its supportive bucket seats and sporty running gears, it lures you with its evocative notes, then, further pampers you with no frills explosive acceleration.

with its signature traction control and balances your drive experience with sure sharp confidence-inspiring technology. It simply entertains you rather than enslaves you with other boiling stuff.
Further enhancing your driving experience, the TT demonstrates its nice strong braking feel with compliant ride quality which helps you to get what you want from it. The TT gives you thrills but it is also absolutely practical in serving as a daily commuter into the car park of modern day concrete jungle or as a weekend getaway fun car. However, luggage space is limited; but the split fold rear seats help to give you more space, that is generous.
What do I think?It is a rare gem in this compact size, but is an extremely powerful and fun car to drive. It is explosive, uniquely all wheel drive seasoned with its technology to read your mind wishing for a special driving entertainment. I could only imagine that the Northern Territory is still a free zone with unrestricted speed limit , that, the sky is just its limit. But, it has a seriously responsive engine and is quick in its gear changing that if you hesitate, you might have already missed the plot. Don’t get me wrong, the car is easy to live with except that the rear seats are just big enough for your sausage dog. We had one before. Probably, it’s the dog that would complaint about the muscular roaring engine noise. But surely, it is symphony orchestra to my ears. Try it, I have been waiting for a while to have a drive, it is good fun.
