TRADITIONAL ART FORMS

One of the arts in Samoa is the tapa cloth also known as “siapo”.

This art has a number of patterns like triangles,flowers,squares and many more!.

TAPA CLOTH

Tapa cloth is not only made in Samoa but islands like Fiji,Tonga,Cookislands and Hawaii.

This cloth can be decorated by rubing,stamping,stencilling,smoking or dyeing.

WHAT IS TAPA CLOTH MADE FROM?

Tapa cloth is made from bark and sometimes man made!
