SECTION A: CREATIVE & VISUAL ABILITY

Question 1 Marks 03 X 04 = 12

Draw using colour medium, a tea-kettle made of the following materials: • Aluminium / Steel • Ceramic • Glass

You will be making a total of 3 drawings - one for each of the 3 materials listed above. Use of Colour is mandatoryEach form (drawing) should be appropriate to the material.

Create a comic strip in FOUR FRAMES to show a sensible interaction between one character from the Ramayan and one character from the Mahabharata. You may add more characters (from these two epics only) to make the story interesting. Be imaginative. Use of colour is mandatory.

Your work will be assessed on: • Imaginative thinking • Composition Skills: Use of space, arrangement of elements and colours


This question has TWO PARTS. Please attempt both parts (i and ii).Sketch a 3-dimensional form based on the given descriptions. Make sure to represent the volume of the form.

Please note: A line drawing is sufficient; you do not need to render / shade / colour the sketch.

Question 2 Marks : 05 x 02 = 10

i. Imagine a cube of dimension 3”x3”x3”. A small cube of 1”x1”x1” is removed from any one corner of this cube. Draw the resulting form.

ii. Imagine a cylinder of 3” diameter and 6” height. The cylinder is cut into 6 circular slices of equal thickness. Draw all the slices, placed in perfect alignment, clearly showing a gap of 1/2” between them.



Weave a story inspired by ANY ONE of the words given below: • Contradiction • Water • Fly

Write the story in 200-250 wordsRepresent the story through 4 illustrations. (Use of colour is mandatory)

Question 4 Marks : 05 The images below show the leaf of a popular indian tree / plant.Identify the tree /plant and explain its cultural significance in about 100 words.

Draw the workshop of ANY ONE of the following professionals. • Carpenter • Ceramic Artist / Sculptor • Car Mechanic

It is NOT necessary to use colour.

• Personal Accessory for a professional, inspired by Peacock or Alligator - It should be appropriate for work-wear. • Furniture inspired by Spider for the reception of a spa or school.
