2 INT. CUDDY'S HOUSE - BEDROOM -- MORNING 2

ON AN ALARM CLOCK - as the numbers move from 6:29 to 6:30 AM, an ALARM goes off. A handreaches in, switches it off.

REVEAL CUDDY, having just woken up. She rolls over, looking to the other pillow. To hersurprise...She's alone in bed.

CUDDY(puzzled, calls out)House?

No answer. Cuddy looks towards the bathroom -- the light's off, no sign of activity.

CUDDY (CONT'D)House?

Confused and a little concerned, Cuddy slips out of bed, headed for the bathroom whensuddenly--A HAND reaches out from under the bed, grabbing her ankle.

CUDDY (CONT'D)(startled)Oh God!(quickly realizing)House -- what the hell?

ANGLE UNDER the BED - reveal HOUSE, chuckling to himself.

Cuddy kneels on the floor, looks in at him.

HOUSE Gotcha.

CUDDY Did you actually wake up early andhide under my bed for the sole purposeof scaring the crap out of me?

HOUSE(incredibly pleased with himself)Set an alarm and everything.

Cuddy can't help but be amused by his enthusiasm.

CUDDY(affectionate)...It's like dating a ten-year old.

Another kiss, then Cuddy pulls herself away.

CUDDY...Hold that thought.

Cuddy gets up, heads for the bathroom. STAY ON House, who's confused and not at all happyabout this.

HOUSE Seriously?

CUDDY (O.S.)I have to pee.

A beat as House looks up at the underside of Cuddy's bed.

HOUSE...I'll wait. I brought a book.

And in fact he did.

HOUSE (CONT'D)Wasn't quite sure what time youralarm was set for.

CUDDY (O.S.)House--

House flips on a lamp that he's set up under the bed.

HOUSE You know, you could rent this spaceout; in Japan, this is a Deluxe--

CUDDY (O.S.)House, shut up.

Cuddy, a concerned look on her face, appears in the doorway--
