El amor de una madre se ve por primera vez incluso antes de que una
mujer se convierta en madre. El esposo y la esposa el deseo
mutuo de concebir un niño en sí mismo demuestra su amor
paternal y maternal. Y su amor mutuo se extiende al niño que
amorosamente desean concebir.
No hay mucho más fuerte que el amor de una madre por su hijo.
Nuestras madres, junto con nuestros padres, son las que primero nos

Mother’s Day Re%ectionsOur readings today speak to us of God’s command to love.
We are called to:
Listen to God.
Care for the needs of others.
Lay down our lives for the good of another.
This is, in a unique way, the very vocation of motherhood:
Listening.
Caring for the needs of others.
Laying down one’s life for another.
A mother’s love is )rst seen even before a woman becomes
a mother. A husband and wife’s mutual desire to
conceive a child in itself demonstrates their fatherly and
motherly love. And their love for one another extends
to the child they lovingly desire to conceive.
Not much is stronger than a mother’s love for her child.
Our mothers, together with our fathers, are the ones who
)rst teach us about love and how to respond to those in
need.
The Church, in many ways, is also a mother to us.
She teaches us how to love and to respond to those in need.
From her we receive the grace of the sacraments, are taught
to hear the word of God, and receive teaching to guide
our steps in the truth and freedom of the children of
God.
Today, in a special way, let us be grateful for:
Our mothers, by birth or adoption, who nurtured us and
supported us through life.
Our Church who takes on the maternal role of guiding us
through life.
And our Blessed Mother, who protects both the Church and
all her children.

Fund is also used to make low interest loans to parishes for building

Discovering Your True Self, Detaching From Your False Self:

Discovering Your True Self, Detaching from Your False Self retreat
will be offered at Cedarbrake Retreat Center from 9:00am to 2:30pm
on May 23rd. The retreat is based on the book by Rev. Richard Rohr,
“The Immortal Diamond.” Deep within us is the true self; however,
it has been hidden by who or what we think we should be. We will
spend the day identifying the false image we hold on to as we ask
the Lord to show us the beauty of our true selves. Beverly Collin,
assistant director of Cedarbrake, will present this day. The cost is
$40.00 and includes lunch.

Orientation before you meet with a Priest. Both Bride and Groom
must be present and attend the ENTIRE presentation. The NEXT
English orientation is set for Thursday, May 24th at 7 pm in School
Room 1A. We will discuss the entire marriage processes, including
