Traditionally during the Losar celebration, Gaden ShartseMonastery begins the Monlam prayers festival with thecreation of a sand mandala of its protector, the 13-deity
Yamantaka. In conjunction with the monastery, GSTDL &GSCF will also create this sand mandala at the center. A
solitary-hero Yamantaka self-initiation will be offered againfor those who took the Yamantaka initiation and completed
the required retreat.
