II yr.)Tools: Pro-E (wildfire 4.0), Hypermesh 10.0, LMS Virtual Lab Rev 10-SL1Characterization: This project aimed at studying FEM analysis of reactive muffler by using LMS Virtual Lab software. Taguchi method is used to optimize the muffler's capacity of noise reduction. Optimum model is found out by using S/N ratio analysis and that model is experimentally tested by using two-load method. Effect of various factors such as baffle position, length of extended inlet and outlet tube, porosity of inlet and outlet tube, length and diameter of choke tube are analyzed by Taguchi and ANOVA technique.B.E. Project Name: Vertical Milling AttachmentDuration: July’10 to April’11Role: Team LeadTools: CATIA V-5 R11Characterization: This project aimed at attaching one “separate motor driven vertical spindle head” to the “Horizontal boring machine” which is similar to vertical column milling machine.
