Proposed a combined Job Training and Mobile Fresh Food Vendor business module to address food justice and unemployment in the Tenderloin. University of California, Berkeley B.A. in Political Economy, Minor in City and Regional Planning Designed and administered surveys of 250+ mobile food vendors, patrons, business owners to evaluate the current mobile food vending program. Organized a working group meeting of mobile food vendors and stakeholders to gather feedback about existing program. Participated in a 6-week professional development program for aspiring urban planners. Worked on a team of 5 to conduct field research, census research, and focus group interviews in SF Chinatown. Developed and delivered volunteer training workshops to 100+ volunteers to educate volunteers about homelessness and train volunteers to interact directly with homeless clients. Optimize the City of Oakland’s street sweeping routes by updating GIS database with street sweeping routes and performing network analysis on ArcGIS. Worked in partnership with East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC) and provided free tax assistance for over 40 low-income Oakland residents. Led weekly class discussions on tax policies and provided training for tax preparation. Managed a team of 6 UC Berkeley students to ensure excellent customer service and tax preparation services.
