Failure to do this may result in an absence of funds for the following year. Each ministry is responsible for keeping track of what was spent so they will not exceed their budget. Finance Committee members are: Judy Pruett, David Cofflin, Sylvia Burks, Steve Trask, Debra Magann and Walt Carey.

Neighborhood Watch Night Out will be on Monday, September 19th from 6-8 pm in the fellowship room. Refreshments will be available. Some of our civic leaders and policemen will be stopping by. If you have questions, contact Gwen Carwile at 239-7053.

Deacons Meeting will be on Friday, September 23rd at Golden Corral at 8:00 a.m. to discuss church business and eat. All deacons are welcome.

A Memorial Donation was received in memory of Marjorie Hall by Mel & Alba Anderson and David & Linda Hawks.

Caring Cards Ministry is starting October 1st. Thinking of you cards will be mailed once monthly to those on our nursing home, homebound, and military lists. Birthday cards will be mailed as well. Addresses (APO/FPO if stationed outside of U.S.) and birthdays needed for those on our military list. Contact Lori Trask at 434-444-4166.

Our Deacons Will Be Leading a time of prayer each Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. This ministry will start September 14th. All are welcome.

Please Do Not place any tables in our bathrooms. Federal law prohibits any free access to, or within, handicap restrooms in public buildings. Any questions, please see Reverend Vogt.

WMU is offering everyone an opportunity to support the mission to supply water filters for Rwanda, Africa. Checks may be made to Sandusky Baptist Church with the memo of Water Filters for Rwanda in January 2017. Contact Gwen Carwile at 434-239-7053 or [email protected].

Collections For the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank will run through the month of October. Items needed are canned food and paper products.

Finance/Budget Committee meetings will be on Mondays, October 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th at 6:30 p.m.

Safety/Security Committee meeting will be on Thursday, October 6th at 6:30 p.m.

Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Kickoff will be on Sunday, Oct. 9th.
