Sanford Inspire Assignment #1: Instructions

To complete the Sanford Inspire Assignment #1 and Sanford Inspire #2 Assignment for induction,

teachers will first need to create a free account with Sanford Inspire. To do this:

1. Go to https://modules.sanfordinspire.org/

2. Scroll down. Towards the bottom of the page, under PASSWORD, REMEMBER ME, and SIGN IN,

click on “Sign Up now”

3. Complete the REGISTER page by filling in the blanks with the appropriate information. Once all

blanks are filled in, scroll down, click the green REGISTER button at the bottom of the page.

4. Once you have registered for your free account, sign-in. You should see a screen like the one

below:

5. Although there are many courses to choose from, in this assignment you will be completing the

courses listed below, in the order that they are listed:

The Physical Environment of your Classroom: 45 min

Causes of Misbehavior: 45 min

Understanding Consequences: 45 min

Creating Logical Consequences: 45 min

Delivering Consequences: 45 min

Basic Classroom Management Strategies: 45 min

Along the way you will be prompted to STOP and reflect on the corresponding Sanford Inspire

Assignment #1 Reflection form. This completed reflection form will be what you upload to Blackboard

for fulfillment of your induction requirement.

6. To enroll and complete the course, click on DOMAINS. Then choose LEARNING ENVIRONMENT.

7. Then choose THE PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT of YOUR CLASSROOM.

8. Then click START MODULE on the GREEN button. This will be where the COMPLETED button is

on the picture below.

9. You will complete steps 7 & 8 for each of the courses associated with Sanford Inspire

Assignment #1. All of the courses below can be found in the DOMAIN named LEARNING

ENVIRONMENT.

10. You should now pull up the “Sanford Inspire Assignment #1 Reflection Guide” word document

and save it to your desktop as “LastName.FirstName.SanfordInspireAssignment#1.Reflection”

11. Complete the “Sanford Inspire Assignment #1 Reflection Guide” word document as you work

throughout the 6 assigned modules and you are prompted to stop and reflect. Make sure you

are periodically saving your completed work as you continue throughout the assignments.

12. Once you have completed each course, you will be prompted to take an assessment. At the end

of the course, the screen should look similar to the one below. Click on the START ASSESSMENT

green button and complete the corresponding course test.

13. When you successfully master the assessment, you will be given a CERTIFICATE OF

COMPLETION. Your certificate should look similar to the below picture. Save this certificate as a

PDF named “SanfordInspire_CompletionCertificate_CourseName”

14. Once you are finished with all of the courses, you will upload all 6 completion certificates to the

corresponding spaces in your induction Blackboard course.

15. Additionally, when you have finished the reflection guide prompts that correspond to the

completion of all 6 courses, upload your completed “Sanford Inspire Assignment #1 Reflection

Guide” with the naming conventions

“LastName.FirstName.SanfordInspireAssignment#1.Reflection” to the corresponding spot in

your Blackboard course. In total you will have uploaded 7 documents for this one assignment.
