Requirements for Santa Barbara County CattleWomen's Scholarship

1. A scholarship award UP to the amount of $1000 will be presented to the bestapplicant( s).

2. The scholarship committee of Santa Barbara County Cattle Women will select thewinning applicant(s).

3. The applicant must submit one current photo of self and beef animal( s).

4. Applicant must be a senior attending a high school in Santa Barbara County.

5. Applicant must fulfill entrance requirements of an accredited college or universityof hislher choice.

6. Applicant must have had involvement with the beef industry.

7. Applicant must enroll as a full time student while in college taking 12 or morecredits.

8. Applicant must have a purposeful educational goal.o '.L<\-

9. Applicant must hand write a 300 word essay on why they should receive ~rescholarship, how they plan to use the scholarship, and what they plan to do in thefuture. Essay must be titled, dated and signed with applicant's legible signature.

10. Two letters of recommendation must be submitted from non-family members: GH.e:OVJemust be from a teacher ~ beef project leader.oY'

11. Applicant must tell what they have done to contribute monies to their fund.

-12. All applications and supporting information become-the property of SBCCW,which shall have the discretionary authority in all matters pertaining to this award.

13. A sealed transcript must accompany the application.
