Located 65 kilometers south of San Francisco, California, in the heart of high-tech Silicon Valley, Santa Clara University offers a rigorous undergraduate curriculum in the arts and sciences, business, and engineering.
Santa Clara University was founded by the Jesuits in 1851 based upon more than 450 years of educational tradition. It is California’s oldest institution of higher education. Santa Clara’s small class sizes encourage the exchange of ideas between students and teacher, and the nearly 900 faculty members include award-winning scientists, economists, artists, and writers. Students gain valuable hands-on research experience in state-of-the-art facilities. Santa Clara University is three miles from San Jose, the nation’s 10th largest city, with near-perfect weather and 300 days of sunshine each year. Palo Alto, home
of Stanford University, is 22 kilometers from the Santa Clara campus.
Easily accessible to travelers, Santa Clara University is 10 minutes from San Jose International Airport and about an hour’s drive from San Francisco and Oakland International airports. The train station is across from the University’s main entrance, with trains running daily from Santa Clara to San Francisco.
On-campus support includes an international student center, internship and career advising, computer labs, recreation, wellness, and health services. The campus is in a safe, beautifully maintained, and well-established Santa Clara neighborhood, with numerous housing and dining options available to students.
