Welcome to one of the most exclusive polo clubs in South America, located in Lobos, a village placed only an hour distance from Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina,
and 45 minutes from the international airport.Santa María de Lobos holds more than 50 members from all over the world, considering that the players’ handicaps range from 0 to 8 goals.In its 200 hectare perimeter Santa María de Lobos has developed more than 70 individual lots from one to five hectares, six professional polo fields, two exclusive tit way fields, a tennis court, club house, lodge, natural lake, leasable barns, and an international polo school.In 2010, working together with POLO visual, Santa María de Lobos successfully organized and presented its first official polo tournament, alongside some of the most bespoken sponsors and media.Santa Maria de Lobos Polo Ranch, has been designed for those who enjoy the country lifestyle, modern accommodations, and the passion for Polo, a truly king’s sport.

Santa Maria de Lobos’ Polo Club, was opened in 2006 for players from all over
the world. What made Santa Maria different from the rest polo iniciatives was its innovative way ofguiding young polo players who were willing to become professional athletes.Santa María de Lobos is rising constantly.Polo spring season runs from August to September and fall season goes fromFebruary to May, including four practices per week and 4 sponsored tournaments
As mentioned above, Santa María de Lobos hosts 4 tournaments a year, sponsored by distinguished corporations and covered by international press:
Women’s TournamentHeld in October, includes the participation of both national andinternational polo players. Each team is composed by 8 women who have the chance to demonstrate their spirit for polo.Its first edition was hosted in 2010, being its mainsponsor Reido Caviar. The competition joined six teams andover 800 spectators that enjoyed the best of women’s polo.
Bodegas OpenThis tournament allows for the participation of 14 polo teams, ranging from 14-16 goals, and is sponsored by someof the most exclusive wineries of Argentina. The tournament is held during November.In 2010 the first edition was sponsored by the Deutsche Bank, with a total of 8 teams.The champion of the Bodegas Open was the Escorihuela Team, led by current 10 goal polo player in the United States, Guillermo “Sapo” Caset.Throughout the week of competitive high goal polo and wine tasting, BodegasOpen attracted more than 600 of exclusive spectators.
PoloCLASSICThis comming December 2011 eight teams ranging from 10-12 goals will compete in Polo Classic Tournament, with the exhibition ofautomobile classics, and authentic elegance. Two truly passions in one place at the same time.
Copa Valentín CasetHeld throughout Easter weekend, sets the finest place for the competition of the most successful young players from allover the country. The cup is hosted by the famous American actor Tommy Lee Jonesand the recognized silversmith Adrian Pallarols.Its’ second edition in 2011 was very successful, participating a total of 14 teams which made it the mostprestigious junior polo tournament in southern province of Buenos Aires.

Led by high goal professional polo players, under the direction of Guillermo Caset former 8 goal polo player and father of “Sapo Caset” who is currently rated at 10 goals in the USPA blue book. Santa Maria de Lobos’s International Polo School aims to focus on taking your technique and view of anticipating the play to the next level.
Our programs are custom made to benefit each client needs and abilities and optimizing one’s experience on the field. We offer:
Polo Lessons·Riding Analysis (Our coaches look for the perfect match between the rider and horse)·Swing Corrections·Handling and Care·Game strategy·Hands on stick’n’ball instruction
Beginners Polo Clinics Practice and time is what brings improvement, the beginner’s clinic is an intensive morning and afternoon course of more “hands on” hours at a personal level focusing on swing corrections regarding your timing and riding position, polo strategies, and anticipation on the field.
AdvancedTake the improvements that you’ve worked on in the morning to the polo field in the afternoon, being instructed by experienced professional at a quicker pace, playing against real competition while enjoying the thrills of faster polo.
