About SAP BASIS
Basis is the administration of the SAP system
It's a piece of middleware which links the application with
the database and the operating system
Basis is most commonly associated with the GUI interface to
the SAP
The Basis administrator is an SAP professional who is
responsible for configuring the SAP environment, including
the GUI screens and SAP application servers.
SAP BASIS Roles
Basis consultant should be able to handle the administration
part of SAP including the installation, configuration and
maintenance.
Installation includes R/3, Net Weaver and its components,
solman etc.
Administration includes user admin, client admin, backup
Configuration includes Printer, RFC, STMS etc.
Maintenance includes monitoring the servers, background
jobs, system performance and avoiding bottlenecks.
He is responsible for the system up and running with better
performance.
