2 ABOUT THE MONITOR INBOUND ASNS APP

The Monitor Inbound ASNs (MIA) app allows you to monitor the inbound ASN/delivery fulfillment status. The app:

• displays key and user-defined information tracked for an inbound ASN/delivery process

• displays the tracking timeline to reflect the latest status of the events of an inbound ASN/delivery process

• displays the real-time transportation route in the map view of the inbound ASN/delivery

• If you use SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) to manage the inbound ASN fulfillment, displays the relationships between inbound ASN/delivery items and freight unit items

• supports navigation to the Track Shipments app to check freight unit details.

MIA app is for version 2 of SAP Logistics Business Network, global track and trace option.

Note:

• ASN stands for “Advanced Shipping Notification”, an externally acknowledged term for the shipping notice sent by the supplier to the buyer.

• Inbound delivery is a document generated in the buyer’s SAP ERP system to store the content from the inbound ASN sent by the supplier.

2.1 In-app Help

When you launch the MIA app, you can turn on in-app help that provides on-screen explanations of key fields and areas on the screen. To turn on in-app help:

• On the top right on the screen, click the ? button • the Help Topics Panel appears on the right

Once in-app help is turned on, you can:

• search the displayed Help topics for text you type • click hot spots or bubbles to see help text on that topic • hide the Help Topics Panel by clicking the Hide (>>) button on the bottom right • toggle Help off

2.2 Filters

You can apply one or more filters to reduce the number of inbound deliveries displayed. By default, the following filters are shown:

• Inbound Delivery No.: an identifier for the inbound delivery from SAP ERP — click in the field to display the Define Conditions popup where you can set the operators to specify a fuzzy search and/or multiple conditions.

• External ASN ID: an external identifier for the inbound ASN — click in the field to display the Define Conditions popup where you can set the operators to specify a fuzzy search and/or multiple conditions.

• Supplier: an identifier for the supplier from SAP ERP — click in the field to display a popup where you can filter the carrier by External ID, Location Description and Object Type.

• Receiving Location: an identifier for the receiving plant from SAP ERP — click in the field to display a popup where you can filter the carrier by External ID, Location Description and Object Type.

• Material ID: an identifier for the materials from SAP ERP — click in the field to display the Define Conditions popup where you can set the operators to specify a fuzzy search and/or multiple conditions.

• Material Description: the description of materials from SAP ERP. Click in the field to display the Define Conditions popup where you can set the operators to specify a fuzzy search and/or multiple conditions.

• Planned Delivery Date: Click in the field to display the Time Period popup where you can choose the time range that you want to filter.

• Delay Status: shows if the inbound delivery is delayed. Inbound deliveries with Delayed status are highlighted with a color-coded bar on the left for the entry in the Inbound Delivery List.

You can change the default filters with the Adapt Filters button to display a popup. Here you can filter core, standard and user-defined fields that you defined in the tracked process InboundDelivery of the GTT standard model

2.3 Views

You can select a view, also called a variant. The view determines the filter settings. There are two types of view, either:

• Standard: unfiltered so displays all available inbound deliveries or

• one of the customized variants, if any have been created. These include some filters that may reduce the number of inbound deliveries displayed.

After you select your view, its name is displayed on-screen. Click Go to display the corresponding inbound deliveries.

An asterisk (*) is displayed after the view name whenever any additional filter selection(s) is made. You can save your selection at this time to create your own view.

To create your own view:

• specify one or more filters

• click the arrow to the right of the view

• click Save As

• enter a name for your view (case sensitive)

• You can also choose: Set as Default

• Save your view

By default, the following columns are shown: Inbound Delivery No., External ASN ID, Supplier, Receiving Location, Delay Status, Revised Planned Delivery Date, and Initial Planned Delivery Date.

You can change the default columns with the Settings button to display the View Settings popup.

2.4 Delivery Details Page

At the top of the Delivery Details page, the inbound delivery number is displayed. If the inbound delivery is delayed, the status is highlighted in a color-coded box beside the number.

Note:

• In the shipment scenario, the inbound delivery is displayed as Delayed when a shipment is delayed.

• In the freight unit scenario, the inbound delivery is displayed as Delayed when a freight unit is delayed.

Below the inbound delivery number are details of External ASN ID, Planned Delivery Date, Estimated Arrival At, and Supplier.

2.4.1 Shipment Scenario

At the top of the Delivery Details page, there is also an aggregated status of the delivery fulfillment status in a donut chart. In the shipment scenario, there are four tabs:

1. Information: divided into the following selectable parts:

• Standard: standard information that is predefined in the GTT standard model.

• User Defined: information you defined in the GTT standard model.

• User-defined Composition Names: table-type fields you defined in the GTT standard model. You can drill down further for more information.

2. Shipments: the key information of all the shipments related to this inbound delivery. You can click the link to a carrier in a row to see the carrier details.

3. Delivery Items: the delivery items of the inbound delivery 4. Tracking Timeline: displays all the planned and unplanned events related to the shipments of the

inbound delivery with a map view to show the real-time transportation route. The sorting logic of events is as follows:

• Reported events are sorted by the actual business timestamp.

• Unreported planned events are sorted by planned sequence. The sequence is calculated by the system and decided by the configuration of the Sort Planned Events By setting of the InboundDelivery tracked process in the GTT standard model.

A Refresh icon is displayed on the top right. Click the button to update the data shown.

2.4.2 Freight Unit Scenario
