In the configuration of a Budget Availability Control (AVC) Profile you now can specify whether AVC checks shall be done against annual budget values, or – new as of 1902 –against the overall budget values across fiscal years using the Time Range Type setting.

In addition you can specify a threshold, which can be used in situations in order to trigger notifications in case the threshold (or a specified increment to the threshold) is exceeded.

In the overview page of the project

financial controller the new card

Overall Budget Consumption is

available. Here projects having a

budget availability control profile with

time range type Overall assigned are

shown.

In the monitor project app the AVC

time range type can be used as filter.

For projects with AVC time range type

Overall you cannot display budget and

budget consumption values for

individual fiscal years.

Based on the new situation template EPPM_PROJBUDGETTHRESHOLDEXCEEDED

for enterprise projects you can now define

situations and notifications triggered in case

projects budget thresholds as defined in the

Budget Availability Control Profile are

exceeded.

Using the Manage Teams and

Responsibilities app and the new team type

SEPPM_PFC you can specify the receivers

of the notifications.

In case budget thresholds are exceeded notifications can be send to project financial controllers. From the notification you can directly navigate to the Project Budget Report for root cause analysis.

In addition the corresponding situation is shown in the Project Control app for the project. The project financial controller can drill into more details of the project budget, take corrective measures and finally dismiss the situation.

The next situation is triggered, respectively the next notification is send depending on the Percentage Increment for Further Notifications as defined in the AVC profile.

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud 1902 the Application

Programming Interface (API) to read work

packages for enterprise projects has been

extended to enable customers now to

leverage OData-based service operations to

create, update and delete project elements.

Together with the corresponding OData API

for project header information customers now

can connect external applications with

enterprise projects and their work package

structure.

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud 1902 the

migration report for enterprise projects

has been extended to enable the

migration of work packages and their

hierarchy.

You now can easily use the migration tool

to migrate enterprise project structures

comprising general project data, work

packages and their hierarchical

relationship to each other into the SAP

S/4HANA Cloud system.
