SAS® OnDemand for Academics: Enterprise Guide

Student Registration Instructions (U.S.)

1. Visit the following Web site to begin: http://support.sas.com/ctx3/sodareg/index.html

2. Enter your e-mail address in the text box to get started.

If you do not have a SAS Profile associated with your e-mail address, you will be

prompted to create one. Select the create a new SAS profile link.

If you do have a SAS Profile, continue to step 3.

Enter your information in the required fields.

An Email has been sent. Select the link located in the email.

Create a SAS Profile Password.

Select the Continue Registration for SAS OnDemand for Academics link to

return to the SAS OnDemand for Academics Control Center.

3. Choose how you will be using SAS® Enterprise Guide.

4. Select the country that your school is located in.

5. Select the state that your school is located in.

6. Select your institution.

8. Your registration is complete. Select the Click here link to continue.

7. Verify your registration details and then select Submit Registration. Select Change Information if you would like to change your profile information.

9. Enter your e-mail address and SAS Profile Password to continue.

10. Carefully review the Software License Agreement. If you agree, mark the Agree circle and select Enter.

11. Create a userid that you would like to use to logon to SAS® Enterprise Guide.

You will use this userid and your SAS Profile password to logon to SAS® Enterprise Guide.

12. From your Home Page, select Acquire a License to register for a course. At this point your account status is “Pending” until you register for a course. For more information on your account status, please expand Account Details.

13. Select the course that you are registering for and then select Continue.

14. Review your course information and then select Acquire License(s).

15. Your registration is now complete. Select Return to My Home Page to begin the process of accessing your software.

16. The table of Current Licenses lists the course or courses that you have registered for. To begin the process of downloading software for your course, select the Download Client link from the table row for the appropriate course. Your Account Status should now be “Active”.

Note: Your userid to logon to SAS® Enterprise Guide is located on your Home Page.

17. You will receive an e-mail with the subject, “SAS Software Order Email”. This e-mail contains instructions for downloading your software.

This e-mail is important and should be saved; it is your unique order and has important details to guide you through the download and installation of the software you have chosen to use.

18. From the Software Order E-mail, select Download Manager Tool Site.

19. Scroll down, and find your platform in the Download Manager. Select Request Download.

20. You could be prompted to logon again. Logon using your e-mail address and password in the field on the right.

21. Read the License Agreement and if you agree to the conditions select I Accept. You will then be taken to the Download Page. Select Download to download the desired file.

22. Select Save File. The file esdclient.exe will download to your computer. Open the file and select Run.

23. This will start the installation of the SAS® Download Manager. Follow the instructions in your Software Order Email and the Installer Guide to complete installation of the SAS® Download Manager. The SAS® Download Manager is used to securely download your order
