the small printlicensed cosmetologists are not required to take continuing education as a condition of continued licensure in the state of california. sassoon offers continuing education for the sole purpose of enhancing skills and knowledge in the field of cosmetology. you must be a licensed cosmetologist to attend a sassoon continuing education course. all courses are conducted for approximately 7 hours a day. please see the schedule for the length of the course and for the course start dates. the academy is closed on major public holidays. please call for details. students should report suitably dressed for salon work (no athletic shoes, casual or beach wear, please) 15 minutes prior to the course start time on the first day for registration.

the academy and educational centers will provide models and wet products. you will need to bring the following equipment: blow dryer, diffuser, scissors no longer than 6”, sectioning clips, 5, 7 and 9-row Denman brushes, Vess brush, 7-row vent brush, cutting comb, water spray bottle, hand mirror, note pad and pencil, 1/4” lock, and a copy of your cosmetology license. in addition to these tools, chemical students must bring a jumbo comb, tail comb, tint brushes(bristles no wider than 2”) and an apron. still cameras are recommended but we cannot allow video or audio recording devices. diplomas are awarded to those students who successfully complete the training they have contracted.

interpretersall courses are conducted in english. if students do not speak or understand english, an interpreter must be arranged well in advance for all demonstrations and ‘hands-on’ work sessions. no participation in ‘hands-on’ work periods will be permitted without the presence of the correct number of interpreters.

payments must be by credit card, cashier’s check or money order only, in us dollars payable to sassoon academy. please write the course name and date as well as your daytime phone number on the check.

sassOOn academy enrOllment pOlicyFull payment reserves your course. Tuition prices include a non-refundable registration fee of $100.00 for all courses. ALL payments are final. no changes in registration are permitted without written notice. transfer of registration fees is permitted more than 30 days prior to course start date. All changes are subject to availability. Checks, drafts or credit cards returned by the bank will be subject to additional charges as allowed by law.

if you are eligible for a refund you must mail your request to the sassoon academy, administration dept., 321 santa monica Boulevard, Santa Monica CA 90401. Registration fees are non-refundable. A written notice of cancellation must be received prior to or on the first day of instruction. if your course is cancelled, discontinued or rescheduled, or if the course is full when we receive your application, we will contact you and issue a full refund. Otherwise a $100 registration fee will be withheld for each course. should a student fail to attend or complete the course for any reason, no refund will be made and no credit to another course will be given. Refunds will be made within 30 days of cancellation. If the final refund date has passed, exceptions to this policy will be considered only under the most unusual circumstances. send a letter describing your circumstances with all appropriate documentation to: refund appeals committee, sassoon academy, 321 santa monica boulevard, santa monica, ca 90401. The Sassoon Academy does not participate in the Student Tuition Recovery Fund for registered courses.
