    1. General

    2M series transmission analyzer is applicable for engineering construction, acceptance,daily maintenance

    testing of the transmission system.Its performance is credible & steady, complete function,small volume, display in

    English,operation expediently and easily.

    2M series transmission analyzer can undertake tests of 2Mbit/s digital channel, V.24, V.35, V.36, X.21,RS-449,RS-485, EIA-530, EIA-530A, equi-directional 64Kbit/s interface digital channels. It has already been applied to test

    access network transmission network digital data network(DDN) etc..

    The following are testing items for 2Mbit/s interface digital channel:

    2.1.1 Status & Alarm indicator light

    As is seen from chart2.2, the light only indicates the status of Rx1 or DATA port.

    The right lights indicate current instrument status,green lights indicate the status normally, on the contrary red

    lights indicate abormally.The instrument inspect event,then the red lights show for 0.5 seconds.If the event appear

    again in 0.5 seconds,it keep showing.The red lights black out after the events disappear.

    The yellow lights on the left signal indicate history alarm document.The lights show

    after the instrument inspect the event.They show yet when the event disappear until use

    to clear.

    Indicator explanation:

    POWER Power supply working status indicator.The green light indicates the

    instrument is working by inside battery or external power supply mode normally.The

    red light indicates the instrument is working by inside battery,and it is lack of electronic

    capacity,we must charge instantly.The yellow light indicates the instrument is working

    by external power supply and charging at the same time.

    SIGNAL The signals status indicator of Rx1 or DATA port

    FRAME Rx1 port signal frame synchronization status indicator

    overflowed.

    The instruments keyboard has been locked, except for and , other keys are all

    malfunction.You can cancel the keyboard locking when you press again.

    The instruments LCD is been locked.

    Main display section

    The main section is been used to display the instruments setting & testing result.

    Function key and function expanding key.

    The key defining section locations at the bottom of LCD.Each black frames content show the fuction key

    roles. Indicate further function key defining. Show functions shortcut key, please refer to 3.2

    shortcut.

    It is used to monitor voice channel contents,the volume can be adjusted at Audio Monitor or Audio Test

    2.1.4 Keys

    The keys can be divided into four groups: power supply switch, operation keys, function keys and cursor moving

    keys, as is seen from chart2.4.The detailed roles are as follows:

    Power supply switch

    Continually press for 0.8 seconds, turn on or turn off the instrument power supply.

    Tests setting Move cursor to Tests setting,press enter into and set testing items & parameters.You can

    also move cursor to Tests setting and press F keys to select Normal Test,Through Test,Delay Test,Audio

    Test,APS test,defaults setting,ViewSets etc.straightly.

    Test Results Move cursor to Test Results, press enter into and show testing result. You can also move

    cursor to Test Results and press F keys to select current result, Time-slot analysis, and audio monitor etc

    straightly.

    Docum Manage Move cursor to Docum Manage, press enter into. You can also move cursor to Test

    Results and press F keys to select Docum ManageViewSets or ViewResult interface straightly.

    Device Setup Move cursor to Device Setup, press enter into. You can also move cursor to Device

    Setup and press F keys to select submenu: Display, Printer, RTC (time setting) or Versionstraightly.

    LinkToPC Move cursor to LinkToPC, press or turn off the function;press Turn on

    it,LCD display at status section.

    Soft update Move cursor to Soft update, press or come into it.Press exit,press

    come into instrument update function.The functionstrictly prohibit using.

    You can make use of it to come into any interface straightly, Result_Print, Lock_LCD, key_lock etc.

    Press ,the left & down corner will flip up shortcut menus when the expanded function keys of any interface

    display .As is seen from chart3.2,press again,then the menus disappear.

    Move cursor to the selected items, press or to select Result_Print, Lock_LCD, key_lock or come

    into Test_set, ViewSets, Current Result, View-Result and Device-Setup interface.

    The interfaces of tests setting is composed of multi-screen interfaces, it is used to set instrument test items &

    parameters.

    4.1Tx/Rx1/DATA port setting

    As is seen from chart4.1, its interfaces is 2Mbit/s and equal-direction 64kbit/s mode (when equal-direction

    64kbit/s, it is invalid), the left indicates transfering port sets, the right indicates receiving port sets.Each columns

    meanings is showed by chart4.2.

    As is seen from chart4.3 and 4.5, its interfaces are V.24, V.35, V.36, X.21, RS-449, RS-485,

    EIA-530 and EIA-530A mode, the left indicates transfering port sets, the right indicates receiving port sets.Each

    columns meanings is showed by chart4.4 and 4.6.

    APS Test: it is used to test the systems automatic protective switching time.

    4.1.3 The relationship between Tx and Rx

    Move the cursor toRxcolumn, there are the following items to select:

    RxThe parameters of Tx and Rx is one another independent,you can set respectively(except for tests pattern).

    Rx=Tx The parameters of Tx and Rx is same.When change Tx,Rx change automatically.

    After you selected error inject,if the inject times is selected as single,series 2, series 3, series 4,then press

    It is applicable to Windows98/Me/2000/XP, need to install Microsoft Excel beforehand.

    Run SAT-1XS.exe to satart installation.

    Please open its linktoPC function, make PRINT/PC interface linking to RS232.

    Dblclick SAT-1XScursor, open the software.The function has data operation, port setup, data analysis etc.
