APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING

• Find a job which correlates with your educational targets.

• If you already have a job, discuss with your employer about the opportunity to start apprenticeship training.

• If you are a client of a local employment office, find out if there´s a chance to get some financial support for your employer (further information www.mol.fi)

STUDENT

• Ask you employer to contact the apprenticeship supervisor of Sataedu Apprenticeship office.

• Theoretical education and the skills emonstration tests are free of charge.

• Participation fee to the skills demonstration test is 58 €. This is a fee that Sataedu Apprenticeship office will not pay.

STUDENT

• During on-the-job training periods you are allowed to receive wages according to the collective labor agreement.

• You are justified to some social benefits for the time of the theoretical education.

APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING IS AN AFFORDABLE WAY TO STUDY

Those benefits are tax free:

• a daily allowance of 15 € per training day to compensate the loss of income

• a family allowance of 17 € per day of • training for providers of children under 18

years• an accommodation benefit of 8 € per day• and travel allowance (bus ticket).

• The apprenticeship training provides flexible possibility to recruit and train the staff the company needs.

• A degree system guarantees the professional skills at the same time.

• Think over what kind of education your company will need.

• Plan how the training can be executed in your company.

• Contact the Sataedu Apprenticeship office – together we can plan how your company can utilize apprenticeship training.

EMPLOYER

• The apprenticeship training is based on an employment contract and the employer will pay wages according to the collective labor agreement.

• Salary paying for the time of theoretical education at school will be agreed on individually.

COSTS OF THE APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING

• The employer will receive compensation for on-the-job training

• The Apprenticeship office organises the theoretical education and the skills demonstration tests.

• Employment office can grant some financial support for the employment of an unemployed person.

• The tutor will be responsible for students on-the-job training.

• A good tutor is professional in his/her own area.

• The tutor is also interested in supporting and guiding another person.

Important tasks of the tutor are:

• Planning and guiding the student´s on-the-job training

• Supporting and motivating the student

• Evaluation of training and giving feedback to the student
