The Student Centre opened to LSBU students in November 2012. One of the primary aims of the building was to create a space where the Students' Union and university support services could co-exist and give all students access to a wide range of non academic facilities that may be of use during their studies.

The Employability Service exists solely to help students get the job they want when they finish their course.We work with employers to make sure we have vacancies in all industries and at all levels so we’re confident that we will be able to help students, whatever their interest. To make sure students are ready for their post-university careers, we also help find work placements, get a mentor, take part in volunteering, polish up interview skills and show them how to use social and professional networks to help in their job search.
