The Holy Name Society hosts SAINT PETER’S 22nd ANNUAL

“PIG SKIN BLOWOUT” on Sunday, January 22, 2017 in the Parish Center starting one hour before the first game and ending at the final whistle of the second game of the conference playoffs. Prize tickets are eligible to win up to 8 times. That’s a total of $1,000.00! Pig Roast and beverages included – all for a donation of just $20.00 per person. PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY We warmly invite women from around the Diocese to join us as we gather at the Diocesan Center for our third Prayer Shawl Retreat on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The program, hosted by the Harrisburg Diocesan Council of Catholic Women's Organization Commission, will include Mass, prayer, knitting / crocheting, fellowship and lunch. You are welcome to attend even if you are a beginner and would like to be part of this time of fellowship and sharing. While the program is free, advance registration is required so that we can arrange a comfortable work area and plan for lunch. PERPETUAL ADORATION St. Joseph Church is the host parish for Perpetual Adora-tion In the Lancaster Deanery. The Adoration Chapel is open 6am-6pm daily in the lower church (overnight hours with special arrangement.) Current hours in need of adorers are: Friday 1:00pm and 2:00 pm and Saturday 10:00am and 11:00pm. Substitutes are also needed. Catholic Charities Immigration and Refugee Services

The Catholic Charities Immigration and Refugee Services Program is selling 2017 calendars that feature refugee client families in Central Pennsylvania. The calendars cost $15.00, and the proceeds from the sale will benefit the English as a Second Language classes offered by Catholic Charities. Court Queen of Peace #1023 Catholic Daughters of the Americas announces the Catholic Daughters of The Americas 2017 National Education Contest for all children in Grades 4 –12. Entrants can choose from two themes:

MARCH FOR LIFE The 44th annual March for Life will be held in Washington, D.C., on Friday, January 27, 2017., to protest the evil of legalized abortion in our nation. Members of Catholics Defending Life of Lancaster PA (CDL) are sponsoring four buses to the March for Life, leaving on that date for D.C. at 8:15am and returning to Lancaster at 9:30pm using St. Leo the Great Church as the home-base. Mass will be celebrated, before departure, at 7:00am at St. Leo’s. Suggested bus fare is $10 per individual and $25 per family of three or more persons, with reduced-fare and free seats available for the mere asking. If you are unable to go to the March, consider sponsoring an individual or a family, will to go but short-on-cash, by donating their bus fare. If you can go to the March, please phone Francine Redman at 684-3764 to reserve a seat aboard one of the buses.
