The Annual NICE Festival

Engages, Inspires, Unifies and Builds Strong Communities

“Always a great time. Such a great concept and a way to bring everyone together. Love that it’s such a positive event and just what Norwalk needs more of!........Food was great, Music was great, so many great vendors, and just an overall great time.”

“It just gets better and better. The music and cultural dance performances were incredible and I was so happy to see several vegetarian options in the food area. Thanks to all who work hard to make this happen in Norwalk.”

“It was so NICE to see everyone enjoying this event! Great food and entertainment! Well done!”

“Such a beautiful display of our multicultural city! I’m proud to be a resident of Norwalk and thank all of those involved in putting this together!”

Leading summer festival in Southwestern Connecticut with well

over 5,000 attending each year

“In Norwalk, we make it a point to celebrate the uniqueness and diversity of our community. No other event exemplifies the beautiful melting pot of our City than the NICE Festival. Food, music, and artistic expression from all cultures and backgrounds are on full display at this fantastic family-friendly event. The NICE Festival is a shining example of how our City’s diversity is one of our greatest strengths. I cannot wait to celebrate the Fifth Annual NICE Festival in July 2020!”

– Norwalk Mayor Harry W. Rilling

“The nice festival was wonderful with songs

and people from various countries. I saw a lot of joy in people’s faces.”

A day-long event filled with an abundance of cultural experiences

from multiple traditions

“The NICE organization coordinates a unique showcase for the city of Norwalk by highlighting its diversity. The event draws in a vast array of cultures and is a wonderful learning experience for those who attend. As a public school teacher in a neighboring city, the NICE festival is the kind of environment that teachers thrive for in their classrooms. The festival promotes our differences while fostering the acceptance of humanity. Keeping the event free is a huge factor in attendance and affords everyone in community to unite. Many other festivals which have entrance fees are often cost prohibitive for those who are economically disadvantaged. Kona Ice appreciates the ability to take part in the NICE festival however more importantly is the exposure to the cultural diversity that my young children experience through the performances, exhibits, and vendors at the festival.”

“Very well planned festival. Highly personable and competent staff and volunteers and great organization. Plenty of diversity in food choices, vendors and positive energy throughout. To have New Kingston as a headline for a free festival was unbelievable. Love the location as it’s so much

better contained than Calf Pasture Park. Kudos to the organizers!!!”
