About us: This is a select sale brought to you by the Raber family and Maynard Miller.We have been in the horse selling and training business for 25 years. We love to bring our finished horses to the sale and find the perfect buyers. We have traveled all over the Midwest and western states to some great sales. We are very excited to announce our 2nd annual select sale in the east. Miller from Pine Acres Quarter Horses has been in the breeding & training business for 20 years. Together we have selected 65 of the finest hors-es by some great and trusted consignors. We will be offering Ranch,Trail,Performance, English & Western trained horses. Soundness does not guarantee pass of a check by your vet following the sale. ALL vet exams should be done PRIOR to buying the horse, NOT after. Please examine horses prior to the sale ring. We bought him from the folks that bred and raised him and we they have ridden him both in the show pen and hauled him to county parks to trail ride. He is traffic safe, crosses our trail course with ease. He is good with tarp and rope. Snapper should suit most levels of riders. He is beautifully made with lots of natural shape, four big white socks, and a blaze down his face. His sire, Master Snapper, is an earner of $135,000 NRHA. Snapper sells with his NRHA competition license and would be a fun horse to take and show or just enjoy having a broke horse to ride down the trail. Lil Boy Blue is proudly brought to you by the Raber Fami-ly. He comes with the true blue color, a half moon strip on his face and 4 short stockings. He is that nice size for a young rider or shorter adult. He is one that will take care of you on the trails, in the arena or on the road. We have had him on the extensive trails. The creeks, ditches, mud, and brush do not faze him. He is one that takes it all in stride. He has also been exposed to lots of traffic and has been ridden on the road. A friend of mine rode him to work every day for several months, three miles in the morning and three miles home again every evening. He
knows what it’s like to have a job and is always willing to serve his master. Our son Nathan introduced him to liberty work and he loves it. We have never had one that so willingly stays with his trainer. He has also had countless hours in the arena, has a very nice slow and collected canter, picks up both leads, and is also trained with leg cues, side passes, pivots, and open and closes gates from his back. He will not raise a fuss if you stall him. He is currently out at night and in during the day. He gets along very well with his pasture mates. A handy little package that will always stand out in any crowd you put him in. Let me introduce you to Rowdy. Rowdy is a six year old Roan gelding. Unlike his name Rowdy has a quiet way of going about life. He calmly walks through mud puddles and steps over belly rubbing logs. Rowdy is controlled and agile. He is comfortable being on trailers as well as tied to high-lines on overnight camping trips. He travels out well alone and with groups and has a pleasant demeanor that anyone can get along with. He is tons of fun in the arena. Here is a horse of a different color!! With his chocolate coat and long flowing mane, he really will be one to continue to turn heads. We just can not say enough about Lincoln in his laid - back personality and “ I have to please you” attitude. He is a horse that we know for sure anyone can get along with. He is not spooky at all, no matter where you take him or what is placed in front of him. He has been on miles and miles of trails, been taken on overnight camping trips, ridden alone and in large groups and nothing seems to faze this guy. He is always the same no matter where you want to take him to ride. He can be ridden everyday, or you can let him sit for weeks or months and he will always be that safe quiet horse every time you get him out to ride him. He
is also equally well trained to drive and has been driven downtown, in heavy traffic and will be as quiet no matter where you take him. He is wearing shoes all around because of the area where we ride. He is also well trained to ride in the arena and knows his leads, has a great walk, trot and canter. He is a very smooth horse at each gait and also has a great neck rein. He has been kept in a stall or out in a pasture and no matter where you keep him, he will not have any bad habits. He can be trailered on any trailer, and will stand tied to a single tie, or in the cross ties and does not cause a fuss. He has awesome ground manners and will be good for the fly spray, washing, grooming, farrier and the vet. He has been through our program and has picked up everything we teach him as if he has done it his whole life. To those mentally and spiritually exhausted by all the Covid-19 pandemic fears and the mass demonstrations of angry people demanding change, the artwork of Andy Mast provides a visual oasis of hope and peace. Beautifully rendered reminders masterfully executed with graphite pencil, and his deft control of light and shade.
But Andy Mast's pencil drawings go far beyond his exceptional mastery of composition. His artwork also bears witness to the pain, to the struggles he had as a youth after experiencing a devas-tating accident that left him unable to do anything on the farm he grew up on except what he always truly wanted to do: draw.
So with no access to art schools where he could pursue a formal education in art, Andy Mast somehow taught himself how to draw. As the saying goes, 'practice makes perfect.' Andy Mast - un-aided by art school teachers - perfected his self-taught drawing skills to such a level that Andy Mast would have his drawing competing in competitions across the country with great success.
His photo-realistic drawings manage to capture every fine detail in his compositions. We can truly appreciate his genius at captur-ing the subtle variations between the interplay of light and shade.
The horses in Andy Mast's drawings best exemplify this. Each
horse he draws reveals every nuance of their anatomy, from their musculature to every single hair. However, beyond mere technical considerations, this Artist has also managed to imbue his favorite subject matter, the horse, with emotion. Through their eyes! Duke is another highlight proudly presented by the Raber family. One of them hard to find size Draft crosses. Duke is 3/4 Quarter with 1/4 Clydesdale. Sturdy but still athletic and a great mover. He has been ridden English & Western. You can ride him either way, it makes him no difference! Duke has been trailridden by all levels of riders. If someone comes to the farm to borrow a horse for a trailride he was is the one we always go for. He does great in steep and rugged terrain, crosses the water, logs,mud and ditches with no problem. He was also ridden on a 3 day wagon train this past July.
Stands quiet on the highline and gets along great with other horses. A very versatile type of guy that can take you on a weekend trail ride or go to the arena and enter in a dressage class. His gait transitions are smooth and easy, a nice slow trot and a well balanced and collected canter. He will respond to leg and seat cues. Duke was used to give riding lessons this summer to an adult be-ginner. We have introduced him to some cowboy work,like gathering the roping steers,sorting and doing a little ranch roping on him. He has great barn manners,handled and groomed by the young-er children. Stands well to shoe,clip,bathe,etc. He’s that pretty red bay color with black mane and tail,a stripe and some white on all 4’s.
