Bubba will make appearances around town this fall to promote DESC and our mission to help our neighbors in need. You can follow his adventures on Facebook and Twitter as we promote his adventures to current and new friends of DESC. Digital Bubba is Back!We’re also bringing back the fishing simulators. The simulators were great fun and provide additional promotional opportunities for sponsors.

In 2015, DESC fed more than 3,800 families, clothed more than 5,300 families and helped more than 250 families with emergency rent and utility payments.

For more than 30 years, DESC has offered families in need a helping hand through their real-time crises.

Located in Downtown Jacksonville, DESC brings tangible peace, hope, and comfort to the poor and homeless.

We help prevent homelessness by providing emergency groceries, clothing, and financial assistance to families. Because our volunteers work closely with our families, they are also encouraged to offer dignity and respect, simply by taking the time to listen to their stories.
