The Career Event Pros Diversity Council

cordially invites you to participate in The 2011 Diversity

Professional School Expo!(formerly the MBA Diversity Business School Expo)

Career Event Pros, LLC is a human capital and development company fulfilling our mission of being a leading resource for career development by offering quality professional career networking events and industry specific expos. The Diversity Council was developed to address the growing concern of diversity in the workplace and schools. We solicit Expo Sponsors, Partners, and Exhibitors who encourage and promote diversity initiatives in hiring

and admissions processes.

The Diversity Professional School Expo is a One-Day mega event designed to bring together institutions, companies, and organizations that incorporate

diversity initiatives in their practices to allow prospective students to make personal connections and make informed decisions. The Expo is a three (3) phase event with its main focus being the school fairs comprised of institutions in the areas of business and law.

The itinerary includes workshops, school fairs, and networking opportunities. The workshops will take many forms to actively engage attendees and provide them with a wealth of information that will assist them with admissions test preparation, understanding current industry practices and trends, in-depth institutional information, and much more. The school fairs will showcase business and law schools invited from across the country – admissions representatives will be available to provide specific information on their institution. There will also be networking opportunities via exhibitions and other special events that will seek to connect attendees with professionals and institutional Alumni.

The 2011 Diversity Professional School Expo strives to set the mark as the premier resource event to support the needs of attendees, institutions, industry organizations and corporate recruitment. Join us as we seek to Inform, Empower, and Expose the dynamic potential of quality candidates and remarkable professional schools!

Expo Schedule of Events

The Expo schedule was devised based on input from 2010 attendees and exhibitors. We formulated enhancements that will “Inform, Empower & Expose” attendees to the best MBA and JD opportunities that exist in the country, while offering additional resources. The three (3) segment block will accomplish the following:

INFORMThe morning segment will INFORM attendees about admissions and include the GMAT & LSAT prep. This will provide an opportunity for attendees to plan out their testing and application strategy to meet institutional deadlines.

EMPOWERThe midday segment is designed to EMPOWER by providing industry insight with the Business & Law Power Forum, which will feature professionals in business, law, and higher education, and the Empowerment Luncheon. Attendees will gain valuable information directly from those who have first-hand knowledge on how to successfully seek an MBA and/or JD degree and how to ensure success during and after program completion.

EXPOSEThe afternoon featured segment will EXPOSE attendees to meet & greet with schools of their choice at the school fairs, information sessions, and other opportunities to network with representatives, alumni, and business professionals. The aim is to assist attendees in enhancing the quality of their application submission by providing the opportunities to discuss their personal profile with representatives to determine how to identify their strengths and areas needing improvement.
