SRNS Director of Supply Chain Operations Jay Johnson received the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council’s (GMSDC) 2019 Supply Chain Advocate of the Year award and SRNS Small Business Liaison Officer J. Alex Agyemang was presented the Carolinas-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council’s (CVMSDC) 2019 Coordinator of the Year award. Johnson and Agyemang’s impact on regional suppliers through steady leadership, consistent supplier development and direct engagement was recognized through the presentation of these awards. “At Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, we have made supplier development a top priority,” said SRNS President and CEO Stuart MacVean. “We partner with our suppliers to ensure the success of our missions onsite. These awards recognize the hard work and collaboration between both SRNS and our partners. The National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) is a national organization that advances business opportunities for certified minority business enterprises and connects them to corporate members. In addition to the national level, it is made up of 23 regional councils from across the country and 1,750 corporate members. The regional councils certify and match more than 12,000 minority-owned businesses with member corporations.

SRNS participates at the national level and serves in leadership roles for the NMSDC, the GMSDC and the CVMSDC
