In 2014, Amy and Dave Freeman completed their adventure advocacy expedition Paddle to DC, a 101-day, 2,000-mile paddle and sail, from Ely, Minnesota, to Washington, DC., to raise awareness for the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act.
