Cougar Corn Toss Challenge Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in our 4th Annual Cougar Corn Toss Challenge on May 12, 2017. The night was a huge success with another sold out field of 96 teams! This year’s winners were Mike Rogers and Van Franklin. We would especially like to thank Jack Rodman for being the tournament director, Inglorious Basters (the Howard and Miller families) for the delicious BBQ they provided, and John Rodman ’14 for being the evening’s DJ. We are looking forward to seeing you all next year!The Class of 2017 was awarded more than 5.6 million in scholarships.

CMHS Theatre presents The Marvelous Wonderettes
The CMHS Theatre department presented its spring musical, The Marvelous Wonderettes, March 2-4, 2017. Featuring seniors Maddie Heuler, Dulaney Sundin, Erin McConnell, Emily Lopez, junior EmmaLee Holmes, and freshmen Cassie Lloyd and Grace Lumpkin, this charming musical transported audiences to the Springfield High School 1958 Super Senior Prom. Filled with some of the best songs of the 1950s, The Marvelous Wonderettes was a blast from the past and enjoyed by all.

Valedictorian Matthew Twargoski Matthew will be continuing his education at the University of Notre Dame where he will be studying History. Matthew was President of the National Honor Society, Voting Board member of Sarasota Literacy Council and was instrumental in collecting over 2000 books for the Pinnacle Academy that focuses on the education of children with Autism and behavioral disorders.
Salutatorian Erin McConnell Erin will be attending the University of Connecticut where she will study Math. Erin was inducted into the National Honor Society and was a member of the girls’ basketball and golf teams. She appeared in Mooney’s spring musical The Marvelous Wonderettes. Erin also received a superior score in piano in the Sarasota Festival and enjoys tap and ballet.
